SWMBO's Volvo XC60 gives a handy little "bong" and pops up a warning symbol on the dash anytime it's approaching one of the UK's multitude of fixed camera locations.

Possible to do the same on a Taycan? Mine is a 22 model 4s.

Someone recently posted something about using Waze in the background through car play to do this. I don’t think it is possible through the built in satnav

Apparently not according to OPC Reading. I'll miss the speed camera alerts in the head up display on my BMW. 🤣

Hopefully background alerts from Waze or other nav apps running on Carplay or Android Auto will work?

Waze in the background works. I generally use it as my satnav too.

Beware that Waze occasionally decides not to tell you about speed cameras - the only fix being turn it off on the phone and restart. I've noticed it omitting fixed cameras but still notifying average speed. It's a waze thing, not a porsche issue.

Also worth noting that there is no audible alert if you're going under the speed limit as you approach a camera. That's a problem if you're on a variable speed motorway, for example, and the speed limit has been reduced below 70 - Waze doesn't pick it up as a problem. Similarly if you're speeding up and you are below the speed limit at the notification point (about 0.3 miles), then it won't tell you if you accidentally go over the limit as you approach the camera.

I haven't got my Taycan yet, but Android Auto in my X5 ONLY pings a cam alert if I'm using route guidance - it's doesn't ping if you are just driving down a road

Yep, same with me and irritatingly it also gives me spoken directions when BMW nav is set to silent and keeps switching native Spotify to AA Spotify. I love the BMW camera alerts in the HUD though.

Yep l will fit front and rear dashcans 👍 I'll also check TomTom Amigo App as I think that gives alerts even when not on active navigation when set to overlay mode. I'll test it my G05

Waze is the best option. It will also show mobile cameras. It’s ages my skin multiple times, I never not have it on

Do you need to have active navigation running in Waze to get the alerts?

I just did an experiment in my X5 using TomTom Amigo running in Android Auto and it gives audible warnings "speed camera in X metres, speed limit is Y miles per hour" even when I'm in the main BMW screens, eg AA running in the background.
