Car suddenly out of sync and can't enable my profile

i’ve been stuck in this situation for the last 4 weeks since i took delivery (AMB5 update applied). for some others in this situation it has fixed itself. Porsche Connect has not been able to help - keep spinning in circles with them.

I do not. The setup Assistant only wants me to connect a phone. It does not ask for a Porsche ID nor my name. Each time I create a "new" profil on it I just lands in Guest Mode and no new profil is created..

Suffered the same fate - cannot enter my login and/or password. Spoke to Porsche NA and started the process of getting it fixed. . . . hopefully.

That's not encouraging. This just happened to me today. . .

Easiest: it will probably come back after some "lock, wait, unlock, ignition on" cycles.

Harder, that really should help: disconnect the mass from the 12V battery, it's not complicated, wait 1-2 minutes and reconnect it and wait for the wonder to happen.

Just a quick update : I had a few calls today regarding this issue.

Porsche Connect support => No luck here, their support doesn't seems to be able to help me with the issue, the guy suggerred me to contact the dealer.

My Porsche Dealer :

They had a "Porsche Connect product genius" a few weeks back, but she doesn't work there anymore. I had a hard time getting through to someone (the front desk told me there was no one available), but by escalating via my salesperson (who was on vacation), I was able to get through to the technical department.

They said I could drop the car tomorrow afternoon and they could have a look and probably fix the problem.

I doubt the dealer will be able to fix the problem tomorrow (given the feedback from other people affected on the forum), but I'll let them have the car tomorrow to see. I'll keep you posted

Issue has been resolved

The guy at the workshop was very nice, but he had never seen this issue before. He did a complete reset of the PCM with his tools. It took him about 1 hour, but he managed to make the "account" menu reappear and the car asked me to re-identify myself via Porsche ID.

I couldn't login immediately (there was a "please try again later" error when I tried to log in via Porsche ID), but the error disappeared by itself during the night. This morning I was able to log in, and everything works now. Fun fact, it also "regenerated" the image of my car in the Porsche Connect app, and it now has the right rims + the panoramic roof that appears.

Came back from a week of holiday and this was magically fixed - SOS light flashing green and was finally able to log in!

Lately, I too have experienced the inability of my Taycan to automatically login to my profile despite having the auto login selected on the PCM. For the last two days, when I step into car, I get a prompt asking me to disable privacy on the PCM, despite the fact that I've already disabled it as my default setting. I click again on disable anyway, but am forced, like many of you, to enter guest mode to drive the car. I can see my profile in the PCM, but it's greyed out.

I drive to my destination and lock the car and do my thing. Sometimes I'll come back and everything is hunky-dory and the car automatically logs into my profile as expected, other times I start the car and am forced to continue in guest mode. It's very inconsistent.

I have a theory though. Where I live, there is no cell coverage--nothing, nada, zilch (despite the gross exaggeration that is the various cell company’s coverage maps). My late Tesla, of course the ability to to connect to my home wifi which frustratingly (and stupidly if you're asking) the Taycan cannot do, so therefore the PCM is unable to connect to the Porsche server gods to “see” the car. Today, I even had to repeat my log into Apple Music, despite the fact that it worked perfectly yesterday, with the QR code even though the LTE on the PCM indicated 4 bars once I left the LTE dead zone that is my neighborhood.

Oddly though, everything has worked as expected for most of the month since I bought my car, so my next theory is that the LTE chip is failing or working sporadically.

Any thoughts, tricks or tips from you wizards of all thing Taycan?

Same thing happened to me a month ago. I made the same steps with no results. Eventually it cleared by itself after a couple of days. Good luck.

I suspect it is more to do with Porsche fiddling at the back end (server side) with our accounts.

Random things like this happen from time to time.

If you park underground where there is no reception then your car will go offline. Depending on how long between then and surfacing again may lead to a forced Guest login which will only resolve if you park up, power off, exit, lock and start over.

Failing OTA modules can also be a causal factor.

already got OTA replaced and I am also suspecting bad or no cell phone coverage one of the reasons. it's simply missing a clever offline / reconnect / sync strategy plus some backend bugs I guess. but all my comprehensive reports and more went to "Ablage P" or are lost in their ticket system which is months behind.

Mine went to guest mode this morning and will not allow me to select my profile despite multiple trips with the car being locked and unlocked and also a PCM reboot.

Hoping its more a server issue then my car specifically... Really hoping!!

I had the same issue a week or so ago and it self-resolved after 2 days. I think your server guess is pretty spot on.

My 2020 decided to erase all my presets and put the car in private mode every time it went to sleep , plus download and install 11 updates every damn time…was a pain … for a week, then suddenly three days ago it just decided to work. ?

but now my passenger side charger won’t release , had to pull the rip cord to release at a charger, troublesome.
