Don't you use it to make ingress / egress more easy (easy entry)?
It was set like that on delivery but it reduces rear seat legroom for people getting in and isn’t necessary for me - it hardly makes any difference IME. I am 73 but not all that overweight (88kg)

I noticed I keep scraping the leather wrap of the wheel with the zipper of my coats if I turn off easy entry. (and the damaged leather keeps bothering me as I can feel it every time I make a turn). It took a while and couple cars to discover how It was constantly happening.

So in the meanwhile, prices across Europe updated during the night except... Portugal/Spain ?

We're always the last to know the news (regardless if good or bad).

I'm going to enjoy the couple of days where I can tell my friends the taycan is cheaper in Portugal than in Germany.

I really hope these prices are for the MY24 or it's going to be a double hit.

Simulating a build on my configurator, gives me delivery options of July, August, September, November and December. For some reason they're skipping October.

EDIT: there's a good chance it won't be a double hit. I accidentally scrolled to the bottom of the PT porsche website and there's a new disclaimer:

Which ruffly translates into "This catalogue refers to a model Year that isn't being sold anymore. Both standard and optional equipment might vary"

In other words, the new prices might be for the MY24.

The one thing I will mention regarding potential delays and price increase is I had a '22 4s ordered in march with a July build/august delivery. This was later pushed back to a '23 and the price increased a few thousand. Because I originally ordered a 22 and it got pushed back to 23 the dealer I had ordered from contacted Porsche North America and got the difference refunded on the day I took delivery of my car. This is obviously a case by case basis but just incase this potentially happens to any of you in the future I implore you to talk to your dealership about this. They will not volunteer to do this and is something you should mention.

Haven't spoken to my SA but not overly worried. If they won't honor my contract, I can cancel, grab a plane to Germany and buy a second hand 4S or Turbo cheaper than my ordered RWD. I'm just being lazy... For now.

No price increase in Norway either yet, but due to VAT increase and introduction of a weight component from 2023, consumer price is already drastically up and new car sales have imploded so they may have to keep the old price for now

My dealer said to me today 'the pricing increase came earlier than expected - but at least thats it done for the year'

...Plus PCCB option has disappeared too. Sales rep says options do occasionally disappear and come back a month later (apparently a way to manage stock and supply levels). ...
That might be believable if we hadn't all witnessed the clusterfq that has been the last year or two at the company.

...Cherry on the other hand… the only color I thought didn’t work on the Taycan.
Wasn't available when I cancelled my order in Jan (on cancelling I was told it had been accepted and a slot given....all at the same time :)).

are people still receiving car's with manual adjustment?!

What magical unicorn poop of a part are Porsche using for the steering column that they're struggling to source.. you'd surely think these were much more common than a HV heater!
Microchips. Man landed on the moon using less than Porsche use for driving position adjustment.

Looks like they are for MY24 as URL on config says MODELYEAR=2024 in UK atleast, no other cars say 2024 yet

Yes. My SA said the same this morning when I called him screaming "if you think you gonna milk me for another dime..."

Just joking. I was very nice. But yeah. What they were told was that it was for MY24

My build date was anticipated a week too. Let's see.

I just loaded an old saved config and it now says 'Do you want to copy selected configuration into new model year? '

Then is says:
Porsche Taycan Taycan price increased. 1680277640199

I think that confirms its MY24 now. Also shows what they removed, sort of (PCCB, Ioniser and dashcam wiring).

According to the OPC we spoke to today, the price increase doesn't' affect cars that are already in production. If you're still waiting on a build slot then you're SOOL though.
