Taycan Turbo S with Mission E Concept style wheels

Also looking to incorporate a centerlock adapter so the wheels will have the Porsche GT wheel design. Here is a pic of the centerlock adapter and second pic is the same adapter on a custom wheel:

the thing is is it safe to use a custom quality wheel on taycans(instant high torque car)as a turbo s user i need to be sure about the items im looding my car.becouse i realy dont know the brand and the wheels..

hmmm - center locks for a 5,100 lbs sedan - interesting thought - I personally hate the CL’s and have them on GT3 (and previous 911’s)…I also personally know someone who has experienced a CL fatigue failure

the CL’s IMHO are not Porsche’s finest moment and a pain to deal with as few if any mechanics/tire-shops (including Porsche dealers) know how to properly deal with them.

That's a valid concern. I’ve had HRE’s on my 991 Turbo S and Ferrari 458 without ever having an issue. In most cases custom forged rims are made to higher quality specs than those made by the car manufacturer. Porsche 20” options for the 4S/Turbo/Turbo S are all cast wheels and I’m fairly certain that a wheel that is forged from aerospace grade 6061-T6 aluminum will be a better option. Of course the car weight has to be taken into consideration and quality builders would do this when designing the wheel. Having said that I am not a specialist nor a professional so the actual engineering of the wheel has to be left to someone with experience and knowledge. The builder I am using builds wheels for Porsche owners and has been doing this for a while with a extensive portfolio of happy clients. I would also trust most large and reputable wheel builders.

This is a centerlock adapter...it still uses the 5 bolts as the hub itself isn't centerlock. I get what you're saying...I will further investigate this and re-evaluate my decision if this is in fact adding potential structural weakness to the design. The idea is to simply hide the bolts like the first wheels posted in this thread and have a design closely matching that of the e-mission concept car wheels...entirely aesthetic. Good point thanks!

CL's on a street car are a terrible idea (like PCCB, IMO), they look good but are an absolute PITA to deal with.

Absolutely amazing! Why did not Porsche do them.......... But if we can do a group buy I'm in. I think I understood they are 22 inch..... Or was it only the rears that are 22s and the fronts 21s...... Like I have done on mine.......

Maybe not for everyone, but I like them. Although it's on the limit I think it suits the car. Could be due to fact that we were kept warm for several years with only images of the Mission E and we're used to these rims.
