Curious - why did you decide to skip the 20k service? 🤔

Your CPO warranty can not be voided by skipping a scheduled service. A warranty claim can only be denied if Porsche (or any dealer) can prove that a missed service directly resulted in that specific component failure. In this case not changing brake fluid would have zero impact on a warranty claim for electrical issues, motors, air conditioning, etc. only something related to the brakes. You can also have it done at an independent Porsche mechanic but as others have noted, I would go to the dealer to take advantage of all updates being checked that they are up to date. You can look up the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. My brake fluid change/4 year service was due about 3 months ago and I'll take it to the dealer when it's convenient but I'm not loosing any sleep over it.

Different countries, different rules.

But yeah, brakes are usually a “wear and tear,” not a warranty item anyways. And not sure how a lack of a brake flush would cause a warranty claim.

As brake fluid absorbs water over time the brakes may work a little less well and the pedal may feel spongy, but it’s not going to “break” any warranty item.

The Front brake line recall does NOT flush the fluid in the rear brakes. That was via the technician who performed my 20K maintenance

There were some reports of that if only front brake hose campaign was done. Mine was that and then another campaign that required full brake flush and then recalibration of the brakes, at which time I told the dealer to reset my brake fluid interval to 2 years from that point. I watched the entire process with the paperwork about it.

The point of this thread is to get the OP to book an appointment and get a list of things to be done. My dealer has a long line of Taycans for overdue work that delaying services for owners that need serviced for scheduled services. My SA was showing me the long line and said one had never seen service with all recalls due, etc.

It did in UK as I went through the process with my MY23 GTS ST.

Yes (Europe)
What exactly happens if you don’t do the service?

Is the entire warranty voided or just any damage caused by the lack of service?

If it’s that latter, that’s no different than the US.

I would have a hard time thinking they’d deny a warranty claim that’s unrelated. Like denying a heater claim for not flushing your brake fluid.

Did you get the brake recall work done? My car had it done at the 1 year mark in 2025 so the dealership told me to skip it because the recall work flushed both front and rear brake fluid. This was at the 2 year mark in March 2026, so they told me to just schedule it for March 2027, 2 years post recall work.
I had the brake recall, and my SA said at the time that I didn't need the brake flush as a result of the recall.
Now, they say I need the 20K service ($1,100) and that they will not turn off the "service required" warning without doing the work. I have asked what really needs to be done, and no response.
Note: I can probably reset the warning with an ODBII scanner, but the dealership's demanding $1,100 for wiper blades, and air filter, and a can of tire sealant is outrageous.

I skipped the recommended 20k service but at 31k, now I'm worried my brakes will have a problem since they weren't bled out.. The rest of the stuff they do like air filter change doesn't bother me that it was skipped. Has anyone also skipped the service?
Why? The service is only $1000 USD and keeps you in warranty compliance. This will be a red flag for buyers when you want to sell it. Unfortunately, this is a car that should always be under either factory warranty, CPO warranty, or an extended Porsche warranty for repair cost protection.

Add to that the brake fluid replacement (mandatory at this service interval) and overall inspection (drainage plugs etc). Labour rate / time is the killer.

Cheaper than servicing a Macan ICE.

Still a rip off. Even at shop labor rate. It Doesn't take more than 1 hour to do all the checks since it's all visual. They don't even remove the wheels.

Changing the brake fluid would also take less than 1 hour for any competent mechanic.

My dealer wanted $1500.

Welcome to the Porsche tax, my friend.
