I must say, it sounds like Porsche have addressed so many issues in this one big update.
Great to hear about the reversing camera being sorted too.

They must have been working on it for some time.

Also good that they are improving and speeding up the implementation of it.

Last hope will be that it will make OTA updates easier going forward.

Not had mine done yet, but looking forward to it now.

Taking my 4S in on Mon for the update - the threads suggest it’s a material improvement.
I’m then doing a 2,500 mile road trip through France, Germany, Austria & Switzerland - just hope I don’t regret getting it done before rather than after the holiday …….

I had it done last Wednesday in Solihull. Except they needed to keep it until Thursday to complete it. Worked fine when I picked it up and material gain in range for sure. But……

driving to London on Sunday and the Sat nav spent the entire 2 hour journey trying to work out what the charge would be when it arrived. Stopping / restarting car etc made no difference. Worked ok on way back so decided it was just a glitch. Then it did it all the way to London and back again today. So it’s booked in on Thursday for them to ‘have a look’.
Situation is less than ideal given I’m going on an EU road trip on Friday for two and a half weeks….,,
Mines was doing this also when I picked it up. Don’t use the nav very often, so kinda off forgotten about it, but will re check. Screens blanked out twice on longer journeys but only done short journeys recently so hopefully sorted.

Real positive is the sat nav maps now remembers its satellite setting on dash sat nav as previously I had to do this daily.

Biggest irritation Is my handles no longer pop out when I come back to car. Previously if car unlocked and I walked near car door handles presented themselves. Now, nothing. It’s incredibly annoying especially with kids. Cars unlocked but have to almost force the handles up unless you re press the unlock button. Anyone else had this ?

Check your PCM - you may have two levels of Comfort Settings as a result of the update. Only Expanded Comfort Access extends the door handles.

Yes, also. After the update. I’ve not got comfort entry, don’t trust it, but it was handy having handles lift if car was unlocked when you approach. Apparently that feature was a bug and has been removed. . .

Same, no comfort entry for me either. I did fear as much that it was a bug previously. It is daft though though and super annoying now. Did I see that Comfort access was a FOD so are they removing this bug (!) so people start paying for it?

Oh my goodness! I thought I would leave it for a couple of weeks to book this and have just called. They are booking cars in for 3 days. Earliest appointment with a courtesy car is 17th October - that is 10 weeks away. Good job it is mostly pretty functional although it did its regular trick of forgetting my favourite radio stations yesterday. Anyone know if it fixes this bug?

Don’t know whether trying another centre- I was at the Sheffield one today and have booked my update in for 31 Aug, but without a car. With a car it was early Oct.

An update - they wouldn’t run the update as couldn’t guarantee that it would be done within 2 days. Got to take it back in for a 3 day session.

My car was completed 1st of July but nevertheless it is awaiting update WNJ8 (VR19.0.1). How is this possible? Shouldn’t the car already have it if it was produced then? It entered production 26.06.2022

Furthermore, my dealer in Romania said that they don’t have the USB stick with the update yet… A USB stick? What is this? 1994?

Couldn't be 1994. USB sticks didn't come out till 1996. USB 2.0 in 2000. At least they aren't waiting for diskettes or CDs. ;)

I had the update applied to my July 2020 car. Hugh improvement, having android auto is a joy! Much faster to use overall and just a big leap forward from the systen provided to us early adopters.

The car was with the dealership for two days and the update was applied with no issues.

However, the biggest improvement for me is power steering+. This was added a year after delivery of the car through connect. It made no difference and don't belive it was ever activated, although Porsche insisted it was. I can now safely say it is actually activated as the difference is immediately obvious.
