Weird view

Today I pressed randomly the touch screen and I ended up with this view in the right pane. If I steer, it shows steering but what’s the use?

You tricked the PCM into giving you 3D surround view. It’s a known glitch, and I can tell you how to repeat it if you are interested. Annoyingly, it used to be standard, but now is an additional option.

It's not useless. There are other angles you can see in 3D giving a 360 degree view. Additionally you can spin the car around with your finger and view kerbside, drivers side, front and back. It can be fiddly to use without the icons but never look a gift horse...

Bring up camera and use the touchpad to select hidden camera options. Then click down. One of the ones close to the bottom one lets you freely swipe around.

They hide the buttons instead of having a isEnabled boolean. Just Porsche software things.

I know the glitch but dont think u can spin the car 360 can you ?

Anyone share best hacks on how to do this, quite a few threads say ask me how but trying to also understand if we think this will be a FOD option to add 3D? (for those that have surround and hardware)...

I try to memorise this to show where the virtual cameras are. I always start on the rear camera and then use the pad to swipe down once (camera turns orange) and then swipe / touch where the virtual cameras are.

Not ideal....but what do you want for nothing??

I haven't been able to swipe. I wish they would just release this for FOD.

TO make sure, you use the "bottom" touch Screen not the PCM main screen correct?

When swipe to change cameras or angles one finger? Anyone have video of this?

Ok, just played with. I was able to get consistently. Advice with picture showing the cameras is excellent.

1- Have park assist active and on that selection
2- Start at back or front where camera orange
3- swipe to viewpoint supposed to be
4- LISTEN for CLICK or vibration
5- press touch screen

view will change and can scroll through. Thought I had this option but really just surround so glad to have via hack but would gladly pay if they made FOD since hardware obviously there...
