As I new almost owner, I'm currious about your experience with both Los Gatos and Stevens Creek. I guess not so good now. Is Redwood City the only option?
Just to be completely clear, I have no idea if Porsche RWC is competent or not.

All I know is they appear to have one of the good Porsche-branded 350kW chargers on the premises, from examining photos online. I believe this is a must-have for a shop that is going to troubleshoot and diagnose Taycans.

I have had it with all of this.

I don’t know if I can ever trust this car again, or have confidence that the repair was done to spec.
What should i say? Welcome to the club…. Or, been there, done that (=bought new one). 🤷‍♂️😤

I don’t feel great about doing so. It’s like I am rewarding bad behavior.
Porsche is lucky there aren’t any competitors in the EV space that I want.

So I’ve joined the yellow electrical error club. Service scheduled for 3 weeks from now. Mine charges at home using the PWCC. No charge limits set, charges to 100% each time. I have a relative that lives 80 miles away and often needs help so I need a full battery daily.

What’s the consensus on this error?
Software? Hardware? Ie; sensors or is it the 12v system/battery?

Get a $10 cable with MapEV Diag and find out what the error is. The yellow error is just a check engine light, without diagnosis people are just guessing randomly, which brings you no closer to the truth.

As @prj said it could be anything.

In my case it was diagnosed as "HV isolator failure" aka e-box.
A friend at work had it and a heater replacement fixed it.

The one recommendation I have is to make sure you choose a Porsche shop with experience in HV repairs AND an onsite charger.

I had quite a nightmare with an ill-equipped shop.

My preferred dealer is Hendrick Porsche in Durham. The closer one is staffed by sharks and idiots.

So the error is generic and not really specific to one system?

The dealer asked me a few questions about how it’s charging when I made the appointment. Thus far, it’s charging normally.

What do you mean about onsite charging?
Are you referring to the Porsche high speed charging stations? This dealer has 3 or 4.

Funny enough, they’ve told me about how they come in to find non P car EVs plugged in for the free juice. Usually it’s a specific Bolt.

Yes, the good/branded chargers that do 350kW+.

I tried two dealerships, one with no onsite charging and one with only a 150kW charger that failed to replicate my problem.

My computers lack Ethernet ports, at least the portable ones. I found one that uses an Ethernet to USB adapter but doesn’t specifically mention compatibility with mapev. I’ll try it.
