Hello everybody!
Just got back from a Porsche Experience day with the Taycan in Hockenheim, Germany. It was just...wow!
I was able to push our love Taycans to their limits (sometimes over that hahaha) and I was able to understand how far I could make it attack the turns! Super instructor even if I regret that the laps could not be done at a little higher speed.
For having tested with a Turbo S I definitely confirm this IS NOT A 911 !!!!
The car is really way too heavy and when the rear goes...it goes!!
Even the monitor messed up the drift activity and spun twice in a row
Nevertheless.. they had wet the asphalt, and we pushed hard in the activities I admit. The chassis is incredible, the PTV+ and PCCM systems are impressively efficient and you can already go very, very quickly through the turns before you start sliding!
When I ordered my 4S I was hesitant not to take more power and in the end I was right. The Taycan has nothing to do on a circuit. It's a sporty deal perfect for taking some winding roads and having "reasonable" fun. The 2300kg are there and despite the prowess of Porsche for the quality of their chassis the laws of physics are always stronger.
So those who criticize the braking...sincerely...I don't understand them. It brakes hard, stable and several times in a row without weakening. Maintaining the trajectory with full ABS is just impressively efficient, the car simply goes where you want it to go! At any speed.. Just don't forget that it's still a 2300kg baby, I repeat myself, but its weight and in my opinion the only criticism to be given to this car (and the range..a little more will be nice )
