How do you know… performance battery plus

But is there any way of telling which battery is fitted to any given Taycan?

Ya know other than just trusting the listing information etc.

You can also plug an OBD dongle in the car and check the battery information.

You could add 8.7kWh in your car and see the corresponding % increase... If it's 10%, you have the performance battery. If it's 12% or more you have the standard battery.

Porsche service can provide a PCSS VIN report that lists all the options, major hardware components, software version numbers, battery modules with serial numbers, etc. The report for my VIN was 6 pages long.

Take the car apart and count the cells.

Your https://my.porsche.com/ account on the web (not the app) has a copy of your window sticker. Log in, Overview, About my vehicle, scroll down. It won't be definitive because some models have the Performance Plus battery as standard equipment, so that won't show as an option. Note, that site used to have the Edmunds dealer trade value, but they took that off! I wonder why.

In the US, the website no longer gives access to the car (lock the doors, etc) but the account is still there and has info on the vehicle.

What model do you have?

If RWD or 4S saloon did you specify the Performance Battery Plus if neither then PB+ is standard?

In the My Porsche app check your build (linked to VIN) in your Garage.
