I haven’t heard the standard. I’m quite happy with the Bose. Sorry not much use in comparison but definitely happy with the Bose.

According to @HK111 the standard is NOT good. I got Bose and it does sound good particularly when I turn up the volume...

Go to the dealer and try standard vs Bose on any Porsche model, to see the difference...

in my opinion, take standard with sports sound, and Bose if you do not have it.
That way everyone can hear you coming

The Bose is excellent for a car stereo. Very loud, you can’t leave it turned up for long as it makes your ears bleed!

I am happy with the base system. I have some hearing loss. Plus you get more trunk volume with base system if you care.

The standard system is fine at low or medium volume. Beyond that it does not perform well - just as I expected.

because Bose is 1300 euros here in France .. it is a price .. I don't want to put 1300 if the difference is not big.. (Yes i'am "poor" ^^)

I haven’t heard the base system but am pretty pleased with the Bose. Normally, I think the Bose systems are over rated; I have had many cars with Bose in them. This system has great stereo separation, good highs and lows. The bass is actually really good. It doesn’t distort at high volume (I like my music loud), and has good volume on the low frequencies. The mids could use a little more punch but really can’t complain.

as feye already mentioned, I have the base system and it is one of the few gripes (next to the Connect app) that I have with the car. The base sound system just isn't good. If you are accustomed to any reasonable hifi standard, it is not good enough. If you plan to listen to music more than just a bit, buy a better version such as the Bose.

I am trading in my 2018 718gts for a 2021 Taycan 4s. A Bose was installed in the Cayman, and I have to say, it was difficult to hear details in the music much beyond pop or jazz...little presence or depth of sound. The 718 is just too loud and the Bose wasn't strong enough to compete with the ambient road/engine noise. Point is that I might just swing for the Burmester this time around, to hear Bach or Ades, Mozart or Rihm with clarity, without distortion. And yes, I ordered the insulated glass!

Ok thanks Guys, for exemple Actually I have 2 Jeep Wrangler JL ... one with Bose and one without it .. so one with the sub et one without .. there is a difference between the 2 of course , but it is not a 1300 euros difference for me .. Still don’t know if I’ll chose it .. I really have to listen it at the shop
