I email my dealer weekly to ask how is going, he has pretty responsive. I'm sure they don't want to bear disappointing news but it's not their fault.

I call my sales agent every week, or give them an email. Although responsive, they don’t have a lot of information from the factory to share. Forum poster updates are helpful.

Sure, but I do wish this wasn't another thing I have to track down every week. A super quick "Hey, heads up, your order slipped another week unfortunately" would be bad news, but at least not bad news that I have to chase down...

Nope I have to contact them but my sales person has been quite good in terms of letting me if there are any changes

I spoke with Porsche Mayfair right now, they’re contacting the factory to get an update on all cars in production for completion dates, whilst citing the chip shortage for delays.

Apparently the car is still in production (even though production should have completed late May), but there’s no further detail on what’s actually happening from the factory.

Expect delays.

Sorry to hear that mate - I feel that they should’ve updated you a couple weeks back when the production completion was meant to be finished. But we’re all in the same position - let’s all keep updating on this thread with our updates from dealerships?

Arizona here. Dealer gives me a print out showing the complete schedule. This is updated regularly. My date of completion has now slipped by four weeks to June 25 and they admit this is no more than an estimate. They have no idea when the car will be completed. This is all caused by chips shortages.

thats great v detailed! Porsche USA seem to keep you guys well updated with this doc and TYD. Porsche UK give very little information to clients which I was surprised due to being on the same continent as Germany ?

I try to make myself feel better by always adding an option when I call my dealer to check if the order has been frozen.

Yeah I’m see the same thing. Original production date 5/21. Now just seeing production completion date of 6/25. Ordered 4/13.

Hey everyone,

this is mainly pitched at those in the UK but anyone’s opinion would be great!

Has anyone else experienced significant delays in their orders?

I locked spec 21st April for a RWD Taycan and initially the car was meant to leave Germany 22nd May, which was then pushed to 10th June and now has been pushed again to 28th June.

Also would be good to hear from anyone who hasn’t had their Taycan delivery delayed.

Porsche centre have given little direction about whether it would delay again and say there is nothing they can do.

Hi, I confirmed my order with Porsche Friday 9th April and I haven't received a build date. I have queried a few times as it will be 10wks without any news but, they tell me that there has been numerous delays and that I am No12 on the Taycan 4S order bank... apparently I shouldn't expect the car until at least Q4..!
