Hi all. Finally took delivery of my 4s and absolutely love it. However, something I noticed when I charged it for the first time at a rapid charger is that when it got to 100% the range showed 175 miles. Is that right? Also noticed the word 'overview' in the Charge menu in the PCM was in German!! I went out of the menu and then back in and it went back to English :CWL: I didn't opt for the performance battery pack so its the standard 79kwh. To be honest I thought a full charge would show a range of 250 (which I know you wouldn't get in reality).
I have the 79 kwh and shows 217 miles at 100%

I took delivery of my 4S 79Kwh in November last year and saw a full charge in the early days as low as 170; however, it’s gradually improved and is now regularly at 234-5 and if put in range mode 241.
AC and demisters take about 22 miles off the range while heated seats have no impact.

so far my (79 kwh) has been creeping up..started about 180 and lately showing about 220..I also expected 250 eventually (we will see)
Keep in mind the “miles” is a guestimate based on conditions. Outside temperature, driving style, etc. As everyone says drive gently, drive in Range mode and give it time and watch it climb…its like a video game.

Porsche Taycan 100% charge showing 175 mile range 7E52FC18-74A0-4378-AF42-97DC1138C4D7

Just charged mine to 100% today and it shows only 355km. I’m mostly just city driving. Considering the fact that porsche charges 6000€ for Battery Plus which gives only extra 50-60 km it feels so unfare that it’s totally okay just to have the same amount of less real world range as promised on paper.

355 km is 222 miles which is not a lot for 100% SoC but not impossible if you mainly drive short distances (battery never reaches ideal temperature). I do not know which wheels you have, but 21"" Mission-E rims do not help either. How is the temperature in Tallinn these days?

It’s about 15 degrees Celsius. The car has 21” exclusive design wheels. I wouldn’t say its only very short distances, but just mainly city driving. I love driving this car but really pissed about the range...

With the weather further improving you are likely to gain some additional range.

I really do hope so. In november with +5 degrees i had a 230 km drive and when i reached the destination i had only 20 km left. No chargers on the way only in the destination so not very good :)

What I find interesting about this thread is that most people are determining their battery performance from the range prediction...
Exactly, we need
  • ambient temperature
  • terrain
  • average speed
  • consumption
then we can conclude driving style and check if the range prediction is good, or if there is a problem.

Fully agree. I wouldn't be surprised if all this information(and a lot more) is already available in some log file, but alas not accessible by us.

Mine ranges between 139 and 207.
In range mode and rolling a lot has got it over 200 but I never do any long journeys.
Trying to eek out the range for me defeats the object of driving a Porsche though.
Id be interested to see the range of a 911 driven hard. I bet its not much different?
