For those of you who might be interested in Taycan's maintenance cost, I had my two-years service yesterday and found the total cost rather reasonable. The service consists of a road test, 22 inspections, dust/pollen filter replacement, body drains cleaning, and flushing and bleeding of the brake system. Total cost, taxes included, was $925. My dealer also provided a complimentary loaner and a hand wash and vac.

I called yesterday to have mine scheduled for Dec 26. When I asked cost, they said they thought around $450, so maybe I need to call back and get a firmer quote.

It’s a little early, but I’ll be at 19k miles by then. I’m mainly bringing it in to get a new key programmed because one got smashed. But I also need new tires, catch up on recalls, and figured I was close enough to schedule service.

Apparently, the 2-year service and the 20K service are identical.

The net price of the service itself was indeed also $438 in my case. Comes on top of that: $116 for a dust&pollen filter, $219 for brake flushing&bleeding, $76 for brake fluid, $19 for "miscellaneous charges", and $58 for NJ state taxes.

My 20K service was $200.95 at the service center.

I got this down by:

  • Supplying my own wiper blades and air filter from Suncoast ($138.79)
  • Asking them to check the brake fluid and skip the flush unless needed (at one year it wasn't)

IMO, $450 is more reasonable price for “inspection” services.
For ICE service there goes much more material & labour, compared to EV.
Oil, brakes…main costs of ownership an ICE, but if i remember right, we haven’t had over 1000€ for our company Audi 6 or Tuareg…

Mine was $725. My Advisor told me that the majority of the cost was in their “Safety Procedures” so the tech didn’t electrocute himself. I’ll be DIY’ing brake bleeds in the future. :)

Just got the car back.
$475 + $40 for brake fluid and $98 for dust/pollen filter.

Got the update at the same time. I didn’t keep up with all of the update threads, so maybe it’s already been mentioned, but I noticed that the car doesn’t regen at higher speeds when overrun recup is off anymore. I always wondered why it did that.
