THERE ARE NO QUALITY ISSUES WITH THE CARS

My car was delivered about 4 days after the boat landed. There were no issues which held it up: the electric steering wheel worked and there were two keys. So, keep your fingers crossed.

As for the tax credit, as of now there are no changes to the tax credit. There can be no assurances that the tax credit will still be in effect in 2022 but as of now, there are no changes. So relax and enjoy the car.

Suggestion: since many of us who picked up Taycans in December have had issues with Porsche connect registering on the car upon delivery, you might want to get yourself setup with Porsche connect (ID and password), provide this to your sales advisor and get him to make sure Connect is working before you pick up your car. You can always change your password later on.

You will get a lot more out of the pickup experience if Connect is registered. I'm going to Facetime with a specialist at the dealer just to go over some basic things (like how to send text messages using voice), which we could have sorted out on delivery.

My SA checked based on my VIN, however, read above to recognize you cannot always believe what you are told...

Dealer system info on your car. There is a section for your VIN entitled "Open Campaigns". If none are listed, your car is OK. If any are listed, there is a checkbox called "Stop Sale". If that checkbox is marked, then the item must be fixed prior to turning the car over to you. If no Open Campaigns, your car is good to go. People on this forum have posted screenshots of that info for their cars.

BTW, I just got off the phone with my SA. Super nice guy, though he basically just gently assured me there is no way he can expedite the car's arrival from the port to the dealership. It's down to the wire now.

Well the Asteria Leader is back at sea and I am assuming my car is no longer on it….that's good right? Has anyone heard they have a car en route to their dealer? Please announce it here and as well, where the dealer is located, so the rest of us can hassle our SA and make him/her earn the commission for taking our order.

I talked to my SA yesterday, and he said everyone that has a car on that ship has been calling him! Unfortunately he said that until he receives the car there is nothing he can do about priority in getting the cars to the dealer. However, once he has control of the car, he can do a preliminary pre-delivery check and contract out the car same day as received. So, for now, it's just wait and see when they start arriving.
