I think the TYD Virus has spread to Halifax - their Pilot Boat schedule has the SFL Conductor now leaving again at 2:30pm today despite it being now 4:00pm Central/5:00pmEast Coast !

It maybe hanging out south of the Bay bridge if there's no pilot or berth.


The Halifax website must use the local machine's timezone to adjust times.

MyShipTracking has it arriving Baltimore at 5am local time on Dec 2 but who knows - still moored right now.

MarinTraffic's timing identical to above - seems like weird path - no idea if accurate!

My car is on SFL Conductor. Y'all are awesome. Love the jokes, the banter and learning so much about marine traffic from y'all. I think, once delivered we should all take selfies with our cars at the dealerships and post them in this group.

Cape Cod Canal and East River is what that path shows after spending some time super zooming on Marine Traffic. No idea if that will truly be it but we'll see soon!!

No idea if this list order is actually meaningful but as listed the SFL Conductor is scheduled to be in Baltimore ahead of the Cape Town Highway - but just to many variables right now to know if this is at all legit!

A tidbit of the 250+ year history on Halifax Harbour before we leave - one of the naturally deepest ice free harbors in the world it experienced one of the world's largest man-made explosions in the pre-atomic age (including the Texas City 'fertilizer' explosion): "The Great Halifax Explosion":

On the morning of December 6, the Norwegian vessel Imo left its mooring in Halifax harbor for New York City. At the same time, the French freighter Mont Blanc, its cargo hold packed with highly explosive munitions–2,300 tons of picric acid, 200 tons of TNT, 35 tons of high-octane gasoline, and 10 tons of gun cotton–was forging through the harbor’s narrows to join a military convoy that would escort it across the Atlantic.

At approximately 8:45 a.m., the two ships collided, setting the picric acid ablaze. Sparrows Pt one of the major terminals in Baltimore and includes the privately run Autoport by Tradepoint - other terminals governed by the Baltimore Port Authority have more transparency in respect publicly available info on operations. There are also other privately run terminals. Others likely far more knowledgeable on this
