@igad dealership have confirmed the car is on vessel, so yes our cars could be on the same boat! Vessel should be at the port next week, so I should be able to take delivery mid July ?

Hopefully that’s good news for other RWD customers in the UK! Completed RWD models were held back at the factory for final checks, for the ones unscathed by the microchip shortage.

Some orders have been delayed or cancelled due to the microchip shortage ?

After a long wait my dealership have told me my RWD Taycan has just left the factory!
So should be here the week after yours! ? (I locked spec April 21st)

Who is your dealership?

Dealer intimated that mine might be on today's boat from Germany to UK. Eagerly awaiting confirmation.

Maybe not. My dealer couldn't confirm mine made it onto the ship. Delayed at Emden

I signed the contract for my rwd, 26th of april. Car locked some days after that and i got estimated delivery date in august.

Porsche called 2 weeks ago and informed me that the delivery will now be at least one month later, most likely more, and the car will be a 2022 model. Car is also "unlocked" and i have to wait for new production date. Seems like some cars get much longer delivery randomly..

I ordered my 4CT early March and checked with the OPC late last week. Current situation - spec locked as of 26th with production finished 23 July

Inspection needs to take place, and then delivery. Hopefully some of your cars are on this vessel too.

that’s awesome mine said it still needs to go to reading as per standard protocol so said 2 weeks?
did they mention anything like that to you?

June deliveries onwards will be preferred given the global recall for all vehicles (43,000) up to June (including e-tron gt etc) announced. You can be assured therefore that you will get an almost bug free car and one that won't randomly stop without warning!

The dealer just called mine goes direct to Portsmouth Porsche, expected early next week.

As I understand, some dealers need their cars to go to Reading first if they don't have the facility to complete the full PDI onsite ... i THINK thats the case, something I read somewhere.

Ah OK. I was worried I would take delivery only for it to be recalled for a software update soon after.
