Can you be the registered keeper on the V5 if the company is buying it?

Yes - I asked Porsche to confirm that, they said it was fine. I have been the reg keeper on other previous company cars (a while ago though).
Edit : Dont forget , being the registered keeper is not the same as the legal owner.

OK, so i ask to be registered keeper on V5, then go and get personal car insurance (with Biz mileage) and then reclaim the insurance from the company after I paid for it? Did you mention this at all to the Insurance company?

If you go on to a comparison site (I did Compare the Market) you can say you are not the owner but you are the keeper. And fill in your driver / history details, location, biz milage etc. I read a while back in teh forum that Admiral is the best at the moment. Just tick the usual options you want - (protected NCB, Legal etc) and see what you get.

So, a mixed day today.

Received two different comms from my dealer. One, together with Porsche, was the setup code for ‘My Porsche’ to link to my vehicle. The other was more disappointing. Apparently the car cannot be updated to the latest build version of PCM software prior to handover. My dealer has been told, by what I believe is Porsche GB, that no decision has been made as yet on whether MY22 Taycan’s built before the new software build launched will be retrofitted with it. I’ve been told it ‘may be possible for the car to be returned to the dealership for the update to be implemented at some point in the future’.

Takes the shine off it a bit. ‘Here’s you new car, that thanks to being stood in the salty docks for a month, is now the old model before it’s new. At best, we may issue a recall notice in the future to update your software, aware that last time we updated your software, you were without your car for a fortnight because the software wouldn’t install correctly, thus causing you further inconvenience. However, in that event, we hope you take the opportunity to review our latest models in our showroom and inspire you to make a further purchase.’

Happy Days.

On reflection, had I been given the choice of Matrix lights or the latest software, I’d take the lights. I guess therefore, I should be pragmatic and smile.

I have not had any communications yet for set up code so will contact them for today I not sure about you but I always have to contact them never other way round but I suppose I am only spending £120k ? is your car now at Dealership if so I presume mine should also be there

No, my car is not at the dealership. Told still at Grimsby, but the systems are starting to come alive via My Porsche etc. The dealer contacted me rather than the other way around. I’m lucky that my particular salesperson at the dealership is quite senior and very experienced. I know from my own experience that’s not always the case.

I will be the registered keeper on the V5. I will take out the insurance in my name and just charge it to the company. Admiral was the best quote I got.

EDIT. I'm expecting my car to be available early March. I just did a refresh on compare the market. I am the reg keeper and company is the owner. £670 - (without snooping box!) you can get for less with.

Exactly what I did...and also Admiral - £600-ish for my CT 4...then added my Cayman R on the multi-car for £120 for 9 months!! Premiums do seem to be softening...

Ordered September, build locks next week and goes into production first week of March. This was with zero people ahead of me in the Turbo queue (24 were ahead in the 4S queue!). This car best be worth it, the additional time has led to the option list growing every week - just think of the money being saved each month the car is not here?! May as well get the Burmester and Massage seats?

How did you access the area where you can see what parts have been fitted to your vehicle Gary, like the Matrix lights? I can’t find that via the My Porsche app.

Ignore that last post. Found you can access the full specification via My Porsche on the web. Like you Gary, relieved to say…the Matrix lights are there! ??

The code is for MY Porsche app ask your dealer or download app and register with your build code No that's what I did and received e-mail with activation code
