I also imported my car from Porsche in Germany, super smooth process, I can only recommend ! The CPO check revealed the heater was broken and it was replaced within 2 days, I have seen worse :) As for comparison with the EQE, you will have way more fun with the Taycan. It is more fun to drive but also infinitely more pleasing to look at when it is parked. On a sidenote, I did have multiple women ask me if they could ride along so the p*factor mileage varies. I do have to admit they are middle aged and married so maybe not your demographic :)

Ok. So I have both (Taycan Turbo S and EQE AMG 53).

AMG wins hands down for me.

1. Way faster out of the dig in real world conditions;
2. Better handling in Sport +;
3. Much better interior (I have the hyperscreen interior);
4. Sleeper. Albeit if you get the Turbine wheels the car gets flashy;
5. Full one pedal driving (if you choose via paddles). Much easier to canyon carve in “strong regen” mode. Porsche’s implementation of regen is embarassing (this coming from a guy with a taycan turbo s and 992 GT3 - when you’re tracking your car you want resistive feedback … not coasting … Porsche engineers were clearly drunk when designing their regen platform … or clearly never drove it on a track).

Go with the EQE if you have the choice. I’ve had both for two years and have put at least 20k miles on both.

Better handling for the AMG? Sorry to be critical but that comment right there disqualifies your post. If there is one thing everyone agrees on is that the taycan is best handling EV, if not car in general.
We're going to have to agree to disagree. I have both and have obviously driven both extensively.

Taycan is twitchy on the highway. AMG is not.

At the limit in corners, I can agree that the Taycan rides "flatter" - I should have qualified that my "handling in Sport +" was specific to highway driving. That being said, in day-to-day usability there really is no comparison.

I too was wondering about that until I thought about the logistics......The idea that the Taycan was the best handling EV was coined back in 2019/2020 mostly compared to Teslas. Its been 4-5 years and many many new electric cars have come. I think some might take the crown from the Taycan

Best handling car though??? Yeah, that is laughable lol. The Taycan feels like a 5000lbs car when pushed. It definitely does it better than any car that weighed 5000 lbs back in 2020. But too many cars can do better and are doing better today.
But I think the J1.2 might return to being the best handling EV again.......

I think the new J1.2 air suspension and active ride option will keep the Taycan in the lead position for a some time to come.
