It’s kindof amusing that my ‘22 taycan had major software issues after 9 days of ownership and i had to take her back to porsche center. However , these 9 days never gave any problems on the navigation and chargingplanner!

Mine crashed today. Just a short 30 min journey back to home. May wasn’t following my movements and route wasn’t updating when went the wrong way ( as I was effectively off the edge of the map as it wasn’t moving!). 5 minutes later it all went black.

By that time CarPlay had finally connected and I revert back to my usual Waze! 😂

Far from ideal though!

it's not an official statment. It's just speculations from the dealers - and many dealers say different bullshit.

Porsche has not communicated to dealers on what the fix will be or when, just that they are aware of the issue and working on a fix.
Porsche has made no public official statment.

Seems like they are slowly propagating the same story to dealers as well. When they updated my PCM software two months ago to address the issue (which it didnt) they said that next step was to replace the PCM.

This week when in for service they said the same as in the message shown here - Working on an update, will be software, disable charge planner until then.

Yep, mine was in a week or two ago here in the Netherlands - to swap the wheels over for summer and I had the same info from my dealer (who had actually been saying this privately to me for 2 months…..)

Many any of us have had email acknowledgment of the issue from support angents and/or Porsche dealer service advisors. They say a similar thing these days which is good, but it’s not really a 100% commitment to a fix or timeline for it, just an estimate.

As mentioned in this thread the workaround is turn the charge planner off in the options and the nav should work fine. If you want to manually plan charging you can add chargers as stops yourself and you’ll get battery conditioning.

I’m not using any charge management; no timers, no profiles on J1.2 …. ...
Your profile picture looks like a J1.1 car....no?

I don't believe the crashing issues happen on J1.2 (as I think they have a later software revision that doesn't experience it).

Apologies if this has already been posted but I found this on Facebook.

My worry with wording like this is that they are spending time frigging things for J1.1 cars (restricting charge station data perhaps) rather than doing the "right thing" and merging s/w branches for all cars with the same hardware (which is most of them).

We'll see.

Dealer said that i have to drive to the shop on June 03, and they are going to perform diagnostics 🤦🏻‍♂️
Since i don’t want to be without a car for weeks (again 😤), i asked them what exactly they are planning to do and how many cases they already solved.

btw: i “talked” to Grok. ‘He”told me that’s common/known problem with MY24/25. In some cases map upgrade to 12.2025 fix it; in some cases PCM needs to be replaced 🤯😤

I don’t really see any merit in AI chatbot input - one of the best sources AI can reference is this thread, with the other being what is IIRC a German forum. Not having a go by any means, but just for info none of the ai chatbots will have any sort of revelation on this.

However, I was under the impression this issue only affected J1 Taycans - Seems I was wrong as earlier in the thread you say yours is a J1.2?

June will come around soon enough. Whether the update will a) work and B) be on time, who knows?!

Check what s/w version you're running (there are images showing where on this thread and others).

Iirc early J1.2 cars had older s/w versions. The latest versions don't exhibit the issue, but to date Porsche won't put those later versions on J1.1 cars. They should do on J1.2.

I believe Chun posted the different versions.
