Finally happened... Pulled over for tint

When I got the tint installed on all 4 windows, my installer warned cops would pay more attention to the car as its unique, so we ended up doing 30% only. Fairly subtle IMO.

5000km later, pulled over by a grumpy cop and got a $80 ticket. I almost told the cop I'd give him $100 cash if he let me go asap so I could go to my meeting lol.

Like the tinted look so I'll pay the subscription charge lol

Mine’s tinted all around and is 20% for windows, and 50% on the windshield. My eyes are sensitive to bright light so I’m hoping the cops would be understanding but not holding my breath. I’m always nervous when driving next to or behind one, and quickly try to hide behind another car LOL

Yeah I thought the same as you did and fought back from having it done. My wife wanted it done, and my son says he has tinted his clients cars even darker. Once it was done I couldn’t be happier. It’s perfectly clear at night and during the day it keeps the brightness out.

Your tint job would be legal down here in Washington, and should be legal everywhere in my opinion. Looks great!

I like it dark (hence I specced privacy glass, metal roof and black interior) - but you guys really like it dark! Hope those tints don’t impede visibility too much.

I always tint the front side windows a little lighter than the back, so at first glance it looks like the car has only the back windows tinted. Have been doing that for many, many years, different cars, in different states and even Canada, never got pulled over or got a ticket for tint (speed is a different story, hence full front+rear radar detection and lasers detection+jammers on my latest cars ).
