Only three Ionity sites in Scotland. Two Glasgow and one Perth. None in Edinburgh which makes no sense. Although in EV charging world makes lots of sense.
Port Glasgow, Greenock. It’s under construction, I thought it was open.
You can add another one in Scotland. "Stranraer" started construction seven days ago.

Toome, Northern Ireland, started nine days ago.

Stop the press......
An actual fast charger in North Wales.
Heavens above!

Now if only they could get some decent new roads to go with that charger. ?

It is truly woeful the charging infrastructure in N Wales.
Which is suprising considering all the green washing they do.

I just assume they don't like cars.

The Singing Kettle on the A55 will be useful for me as I am often heading past here on the way to Anglesey, so passing at the weekend I thought I would see how it is progressing after 65 days of construction…fair to say that I don’t think this site is going to help reduce the 200 day average to build a site, apart from a portaloo no sign of any work….

Its ok.
You can just use one of the multitude of other fast chargers abounding in North Wales.

In fairness I did the trip this May and you're missing Porsche Chester, 2 x 350kw (office hours) and Tesla Flint, lots x 150kw 24/7 from that map.

Thanks for the update.

I went to the new Leicester site a few weeks ago, and that is very much under construction. Huge work area in the car park of the Hilton hotel.

And Cobham's extra units appears to have been given the go-ahead. The targeted decision day was 7th Sep. It's not clear but I think it says decision: Granted.

Yes they’ve had planning approved for the Cobham expansion.

Chargemap confirms sparse chargers in North Wales. It must be remembered that the National Grid only expanded into North Wales in 2004. 2 years before running water.

shows 3. Flint and Aberystwyth Tesla.
The middle one is Corwen INSTAVOLT with a useful number of 120kw/h chargers.

Further expansion of Ionity in the UK.

https://www.zap-map.com/news/ionity-village-hotels

Kind of see the logic in having 350KW at a hotel, if you can use it to pull in people who are not staying overnight to use/pay for the facilities (coffee/food etc.).

Seeing the extent of hotel destination charging in continental Europe though (thanks to @tigerbalm's excellent travelogues) I kind if think they would be better off flooding their hotels with free 7+KW AC charging as they are likely to get more people choosing to spend £150 a night with them rather than the competition.

Still, who's going to argue we are over supplied with 350KW charging in the UK?

Fantastic news.
Actually well-placed hotels make great locations for fast charging. I’ve used dozens of Novotel and Valk hotels with tesla superchargers on Euro road trips. Sometimes I’ve stayed there overnight (both brands are great for decently priced overnight stops) with a fast charge while unpacking and/or a charge over breakfast. it can be as convenient as an AC destination charger with the added benefit that you don’t get there and find the charger has been ICEd overnight.
Other times they have been a quick stop and toilet break. Hotels are pretty convenient for that too, generally.

of course it works best when the hotel is not too far off the major access routes and motorways.

Exactly!
And that chain will bring chargers to places that are fairly blank just now. Good news!

I guess one of the most difficult things is to find new places to build, that have space for parking and also a very good and reliable grid connection.

West Brom. (Starbucks) just opened with 6 posts

“Only” 305 days in construction, so Ionity is clearing their backlog before they hit the big time with Village Hotels
