Hello guys,

At home I use the Original Porsche Charger, 3phases / 32amps / 400volts, so in theory i can charge at 22 kw,
but in the charger I can see 20.77kw and in the car 19.7kw , anyone else have this divergence ?

Best regards

Same here. I put my PMC+ at 50% (4.4 kW actual, 4.8 theoretical), and the next morning I have 85% SOC.

Are you on 400 VAC or 380 VAC? Sounds like 380VAC nominal (and running slightly low).

I would be happy with this!

There will be some electrical loses which will have an impact and potentially the car is managing what it draws (even when on AC).

What do you see at public AC charging locations?

You are fine. You cannot depend on the nominal rating of 400volts to be delivered via the EVSE so just relax and let the car charge with the power it’s given. The voltage in your home will typically change +-5% as the community load changes at your power company. It’s possible your power company delivers +-10% so you might be getting from 360 to 440 volts into your house.

The EVSE (which you call the Porsche charger) tells the car how many amps will be coming across the charging cable, and the cars built-in charger configures the AC to DC converter for that number of amps (in your case, 32 amps). The AC to DC converter inside the car has a wide voltage range. So the power delivered will change as the voltage changes.

here in brasil, 7.6kw is more comum in shoppings centers, marinas etc
In highways you can find 22kw/50kw (maximum)

Generally use either Grizzl-E 40a or Tesla Gen 2 HPWC set to 40a so charge rate is 9kW-9.6kW nominal.

Ok so try a 22kW public charging facility and see if it is able to provide more power than what you are getting at home - my guess is that you won't

There should some thermal efficiency loss along the way, give or take around 10%. That may explain the difference in what the EVSE and the car is telling you.

I was charging at work; 32A, 400V, 3phases, and i’ve been seeing 22kwh….but not all the time.
It depends on battery temperature, SoC….maybe something else, so when i was monitoring on app, there were 19-22kwh.

But I don’t think 400 is nominal everywhere either.

I’m basing that on having done industrial electrical work in 17 countries and I’ve seen 380, 400, and 415 nominal voltages in various locations (aside from the 460/480 in the US and Mexico and 575 in Canada….of places I’ve worked).

A quick google search suggests 220/380 wye is nominal in Brazil.

In my country, It may vary between 380-400V.
