My CT is starting to have the rattle, sounds like it's coming from the driver side A pillars, but can't tell. Keep pushing everything while driving to no avail. Will notify service center on next visit.

My '16 X, '21 X and '17 3 have no rattles. But wind noise is another matter entirely.

I had squeaks from that area but worked out it was the dash screen (now sorted by stuffed foam) and the joint in steering column housing. Just needs a nudge to stop it…

I’ve sorted most of the door issues but need to add a bit of foam to the top section, which can be done with the window fully down.

glad I only spent £140k otherwise I’d be slightly miffed!

I'm also hearing noise coming from the dash screen area. It sounds like it is coming from between the steering wheel and the wind screen - around the top left of the dash screen or just behind it perhaps? I'm going to try to add some foam to try to eliminate the squeaking.

Where did you add foam to your dash screen to stop the noise you were hearing? Did you need to remove any trim or use trim tools at all or did you just force foam into crevices?

part of this thread has details of where to put the foam, it’s between the dash screen and dash both outer edges. I only knew this was an issue after hearing like a buzzing noise on a rough road and pushing the screen stopped it..

Good luck, rattles and squeaks drive me fecking mad! Dealers are useless too!

my 992 was the same but my wife’s Macan and Panamera are bullet proof!

Perfect! I hear a similar buzzing so hopefully the same fix will eliminate it for me.

I'll read through the thread thoroughly and take a crack at it. Thank you!

good luck and report back how you get on… I’ve been trying bits n pieces for a while - mine is silent on smooth tarmac but not on the rougher dual carriageways…

I owned a 22 RWD for about 8 months, and recently I start to hear the rattle as well, it is so annonying and I can't believe that such expense car can sound like so cheap. I read this thread and inspired by so many solutions and ideas. I spend couple hours this afternoon to try out the different solutions, and here is my conclusion and also one more tip which hasn't been mentioned by anyone in this thread so far.

Anyway, thank everyone who has shared your tips here! much appreciated!

My rattle source 90% is from this plastic panel, just opened it, and taped all the hooks by foams and installed it back, it sounds much silent afterwards.

I used this foam tape, this is excellent to remove rattle on the car:

Then I found there are still some little rattle, I tried to tape the door lock hook, to make the door locked righter after closing the door, I surprising found it's almost 99% clean after doing this small trick. If you tried all the other ways, still some little rattle, you can try this, might bring some positive result to you as well.

The tool I used to open the plastic panel on the door. very handy.

Today I just opened the plastic cover, and put tape on all the hooks, install back, it's silent now.
I'm hoping to get some time this week to try this as well. Any chance you took pictures with the panel off? I'm curious what the hooks you're referring to look like.

I’ll try that the weekend. The top section of the drivers door had a squeak so I put some foam in the gap closest to the window (it needs to be fully down) but this morning I’ve got a rattle from the dash… it’s like the forth road bridge, one you think you’ve finished you have to start again!

I noticed a rattle from the middle down screen(air condition control screen) when on a bumpy road. I tried to find the source of the rattle, it seems comes under the screen? have anyone met this rattle so far?

I reopened my panel, took the picture. Tape all the hooks both on the panel and on the door side.

Thanks… drove home along the shitty dual carriageway and think the doors are sorted. Now just a rattle from the steering wheel tunnel/column.

I have found a local car audio specialist that does sound deadening - doors/wheel arches etc which I may consider…

I just had a new window regular motor installed, and it fixed the last of the rattles I had left on the drivers side. Hoping it sticks this time. Only took a year and a half to have a silent EV. 🙃

Well the last fix of taping down the wires right where they enter the doors did last about a month or so. That was nice.

My dealer phoned me today, out of the blue to see how I was liking the car - took them 12-months! I said it was great apart from the shitty door panels that rattle like fuck. Oh we’ve not heard that before was the response! Fucking amateurs….

Haha, yikes.

Welp, it lasted a couple of days...

Video of issue

Try to imagine this as 10x 5X louder when driving due to combined vibrations from driving enhancing this. I'm not going to record while driving. Sadly it comes and goes which is why I had to record as soon as I heard it. Going to send this to the service center and CC my sales rep.

EDIT: Just to add; door pockets empty; bass and treble set to 0 and -1 respectively; audio at around 23 with default settings + surround; Bose.
