Yes, it seems in the 21st century, we’ve exchanged fumbling in your pocket for your keys for fumbling in your pocket for your phone. In my case, usually after I’m already strapped into the pilot seat.

Maybe one day there will be a wearable that does all the things while staying charged for a week, or runs off of kinetic energy.

Yes my iPhone 13 gets blistering hot to the point it shuts down. I tried it with my friend's iPhone 12, same issue.

I assume you hardwired it to the panel on the driver side. Which fuse did you use?
