I'm a Turbo, rather than a Turbo S, just like you @Norfolkporsche. The Turbo S was rather beyond my means. I'm planning to charge on my drive too, just like the idea of having a more rapid charger so close.

Hello, Thank you for all the useful information I've received here. I'm looking forward to locking an order on the RWD model. I am coming from having my Porsche Cayman S as a daily driver (have separate snow tires and wheels set). I went to the dealer and drove a 991.2 & a 992 and then the Taycan was amazed at the handling. I was in Love before Valentines day.

2 options I'm on the fence on are the Chrono. Does the package give you sport plus and dial to switch the mode? Is launch control faster in Sport + vs Sport?

Also any opinions on the Panorama roof as a must have? with heating up the car in summer? Looks good interested in ordering soon.

from my understanding the chrono gives you the ability to switch modes via dial on the steering when versus having to use the touch screen. from my tesla experience the pano roofs are well screens and don't add too much heat to the interior. I cannot comment on the launch mode, which again from my tesla experience gets old fast, it is parlor trick that just runs your range down and gets old quickly. YMMV

My recommendations: (going bottom up in your list)

Must Haves:
25 ft charging
Smoking Package 0 --> Do it. It's free. you can throw away the cup if you don't need it
seat heating 530
fixed panoramic glass 1490 -- Its in between personal choice. But does open up the feeling for rear passengers
Rear Axle steer 1620 --> I've driven with and without this. Definitely must have. Its a wide car and this really helps
folding mirrors - Its a wide car, helps while parking.

Personal Choice:
nema 6-? - personal choice based on available charging at home
bose 1200 --> Remember, its a very quiet car !!
heating GT steering wheel 280. --> I live in California, do not have need for this
ambient lighting 500
Porsche electric sound 500 -- Its cool sound -- almost a must have in my opinion
Exterior trim high gloss black
Model rear high gloss black
21 Mission wheels
Painted in exterior color


Can be deleted:
