My expected V260 (vehicle entry to body shop) date is July 31 and my expected V270 date (vehicle exit production) date is September 4. Based on this timing, I guess that the car may actually be built in the week of August 31. If so, would that not be after the factory's summer shut-down? Would that make the car automatically a 2021 model year? Thanks for any insights in this matter.

What says your Sales Rep? Mine was able to confirm that my Taycan will be a MY 2021

Thanks, Philippe. I have not checked with the dealer yet and was asking for the community's experience before doing so.

my understanding is that for some of the other models, for this year, cars produced as late as Oct are still considered MY20. There are no tight rules, nor anything automatic, so you need to get someone from Porsche (high enough up) to confirm exactly what you get.

I have a late July 24 V260, and it's going to be a '20 model. It's pretty stupid of me to take delivery of a '20 model in mid Nov, but oh well, it's only money.

What is your V270 date, if I may ask?

I'd guess July 31 is the cutoff. My delivery date is in Nov, probably same boat as you, since my car is scheduled to sit in Emden for 3 weeks.

Very well possible. Your car is a week earlier in and out of production than mine but mine is expected to stay two weeks in Emden, so departure for the US must be around the same time.

I just asked a salesperson at my local dealer and they said production on the Taycan has stopped for the remainder of the year. That seems contrary to statements I have seen on this forum about production ramping up. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks
