Agreed but you should explain net battery Vs gross battery where net available is 83.7 from a Performance Battery Plus.
Agreed.
I just thought that’s obvious, since he wrote 93.

Porsche say Heat Pump is ONLY working with "Activated air-conditioning". Means Heat Pump is only saving energy when AC is activated. That is a different thing AC OFF saving energy by not using the compressor.
I am confused with it a bit, since -according to the description- HP is only working with AC ON, that uses a compressor that uses extra energy....

So should we keep AC ON below 20C to enable HP or saving energy of compressor with AC OFF and not using HP that questioning the meaning of the HP at the same time (???)

It seems to me the (AC) compressor is an active part of the the HP system that is why it should be kept on, otherwise it became a deactivated/useless equipment of the car .

Use AC as needed. Since all the software updates the impact of running AC or not is arguably not material.

Eco Plus is good enough out with winter months.

I am still not sure about that, keeping AC off lets the HP system working... According to the description clearly not.

Just as it is in an ICE vehicle, short trips are incredibly inefficient and will use more power. I once owned a prius many moons ago and lived 2 miles from school so it averaged like 34mpg even though it was rated for 50mpg. That's why you're getting more efficiency on the motorway.

In the summer the range will go up, or ease up on the heater and drive in range mode. Or precondition your car while plugged in every morning.

Here are my numbers from the My Porsche app. I have a 2021 4S with the performance battery.
I live in suburban Philadelphia, where it is cold in the winer and hot in the summer. I mostly drive short daily drives, about 100 miles weekly for work and another 50 or 100 miles on weekends for fun. I have gone on a few long trips using DC charging successfully.
I almost always charge at home from midnight to 6 AM to 85 % about twice per week.
I am very satisfied with my range numbers.

So yes indeed with those two panels (last value since charging and your total trip no. in kWh per mi) that equates to between 209 to 279 miles range prediction for 100% battery charge - I'd be happy too :)! This fits very squarely into my car's performance data.

When I plan longer trips I basically think of 240 winter to 260 summer max. range if needed - this way I never fall short and invariably plan to charge with 20% of those values to spare. Keeps things simple and entirely predictable!

We visited the English Heritage Old Sarum site today.

It is a 90 mile round trip on typical English country roads and towns with enough traffic to make overtaking pointless but no bad holdups so we averaged 36mph, the temperature was 10-12C and we got 3.0 miles/kWh, best yet consumption.

heavily dependent on the average speed and outside temperature. Some data on recent trips (highway - data for around 100 / 150 miles trips - AC eco 21 Celsius - range mode):
- 3.0 miles / kWh - avg. speed 75 mph - T ext. : 10 C
- 2.6 miles / kWh - avg. speed 79 mph - T ext. : 8 C
- 2.4 miles / kWh - avg. speed 85 mph - T ext. : 5 C

with icy fog generating funny structures on the mirrors 😁

If you look at the range the car forecasts at the start of a trip versus what you actually achieve on a trip, you can see that the car tends to forecast low especially as temperatures increase. Here the forecasted ranges were based on short trips on city streets mainly to the store so were quite inefficient while the actual distance travelled was based on constant highway speeds at 115 kph / 71.5 mph

A related question is how long it takes for the range the car forecasts to align with the distance travelled. My data says it takes about 15-20 minutes for the car to figure it out and then it becomes quite accurate.

I've been on a workshop last September organized by Porsche, presented by factory guys.
Next to many other useful things he mentioned that, the displayed range is calculated according to the last 600km average.

Eco Plus run only in range mode or is there some other way to activate it?

Short trips will kill the guess omettre. First time I’m doing a 140km trip & I’ve notice my range went up by 75km

Do you always set a timer for your departure? I only charge my car to 60% when I finish with it and then set the timer to charge the car to 75% to 85% when I use it the next time. It also sorts out the cabin and windows. Battery starts its day at 13° even when its 0° outside. My journeys are roughly 15 miles.
