OTA Software Update (July 17, 2023)!

Do we need to stay inside the car while update happen? I initiated it or i though about it but when i opened my door PCM turned off

Do i stay inside only while initiates?

Says 7 min update on my car.

Initiate, turn off car, get out, lock the car, wait 15 mins to be safe

you should get a message when you get back in that update was successful

Are any 2020s getting the update? I have yet to receive an email or notification in my car. When I login to Porsche.com it says Porsche Connect Setup -> Online Software Update Activated.

Got it done this morning. Worked fine.

Drove. Parked the car for 2 hrs. Got back and PCM wont pass this screen.

No you don't. Instructions advise to leave and lock the car for this particular update.

Same here a couple of days ago, but the problem fixed itself overnight on my 2022 RWD.

Yes! Exact same issue. Car worked fine for one drive. Now the PCM partially works (eg, i can use spotify from my phone) but the screen is basically non operational. I wondered if it was because I was at relatively low charge (ie, 50 miles left). I left the car charging at an airport. I'm hoping it heals itself when I get back to it. Frustrating.

Same with my 22 RWD. Got the spinning blue wheel for 24 hours and debated the 2 finger restart (I've never had to do it in now 13K miles of ownership) but it's all normal now.

did the two fingers reboot several times. Left the car locked and powered off overnight. Nothing really worked. I called PCNA hotline and spoke with their “specialist“. They have been receiving reports from several customers in these past 24 to 48 hours about the same error and are recommending that these customers go to the dealership for the software update.

No, you don't need to stay in the car. I was notified of the update just as we pulled into a movie theater parking lot to see Barbie (which by the way had a funny Porsche reference) and it was done by the time we returned to the car.

Data point, I'm in the US and no sign of this OTA update for me. I've rebooted the PCM and still nothing. I assume there is a progressive rollout and it will eventually be my cars turn.
