Also, it looks like this broke on 11/17 based upon the logs in the app. Something seems to have happened in the Porsche back end between the night of 11/17 the next morning when I would have driven my kiddo to school. Wednesday night is the last logged drive I have.
Sorry to hear that.

I would next try each of these until resolution:
1. Reboot PCM
2. Reset 12v battery (disconnect/reconnect negative terminal)
3. Surrender to Porsche Service (I've never done this, but with unavailability of parts, it could be risky)

Could you please confirm that you solved it by just driving around with the second key, although associated with the same Porsche ID?

thanks!

Update. I just did a 20 minute drive using the other key and all is right with the app again. I’m connected. Don’t know if it was the drive or the key that did it but the total downtime was about 23 hours.

Confirmed. All I did was just drive around with second key. It is associated with the same Porsche ID. Everything was working fine inside the car with the initial key and the second key. When I got to my destination with the second key I went on the app while still in the car and it immediately connected and updated.

I only went out and opened the car with the second key. Engaged gear but did not drive, shut down car, went inside house and the car was on the Connect app. Very confusing.

Just tried this, - but unfortunately, as you would say - rien, nothing - didn’t change a thing :)

I logged in with Chrome for the first time ever and if seemed to solve all the connection problems. Fixed the App and also logging in with Safari.

This seems like a convoluted problem…. I tried the “new” My Porsche app on my iPhone, and under “Details>Functions>PCM” I got a warning that functions was disabled since I already had the old iPhone app installed. So uninstalled that, and retried - with no greater success.

Then I remembered that Apple recently upgraded my iPhone to the 15.1 version of iOS, so maybe some app location/access rights have changed and messed things up. So enabled location settings to ”Always” for the “My Porsche” app, but not expecting that to do much.

Then did the whole Chrome-browser login thing to see if that could jiggle anything loose. Strange thing there is that it reports my car to be at work in the city, - when I’m standing next to it in my garage at home. Also the charge and mileage is still wrong.
The “My Porsche” app insists on being green lit - i.e. having contact with the car - but it doesn’t - since charge/mileage/location is wrong on that one too.

I’m wondering if Porsche is having troubles with the new iOS upgrade - or if that’s just coincidental in time?

Drove the car to a store, locked it in the parking lot and left it for like 15 minutes. Came back, unlocked it and everything is back working again. Either it's coincidental and Porsche fixed the back end, or resetting the PCM fixed it. Who knows

*shrug*

I had similar problems for 4 days and everything came back today miraculously. I wonder if Porsche sent out an update to improve the Connect app.

This was def a different issue than the usual hiccup. The app was behaving differently..... everything is back up and running now on its own didn't have to do anything.

I believe the data / telemetry is held centrally (in the Cloud) and so until your underlying issue is resolved the replication/ synchronisation won't occur.

I also run into exactly the same problems here.
Porsche+Dealer are informed but clueless, writing tickets, but nothing happens.

Before deleting the car account I had traffic updates, streaming data, weather app, but NO data updates like SoC to the App (cloud profile). interestingly enough I was able to send destinations to the navigation.

I did virtually everything before like reset 12v battery, log to guest account, privacy etc.

I never noticed the "last synchronization" tag of the account's drop down menu. Is it new?

Will check this, but it was obviously more than 2 days ago.

The idea with the key fob is new for me. Will try that very soon. But you never know if it's coincidence as many glitches heal themselves after 1-2 days.

Placebo or not it's worth a shot.

Connection is back up and running for me now. Pretty certain it was Porsche server side as none of the things I tried over the previous days did anything and it just came back online.

Hopefully it is now working for the rest of you.

login successful today, no changes, only waiting a day, some struggles with Apple Music login, PCM 2 finger reset helped.

I intentionally did not use the 2nd key fob as I wanted it not be mistakenly see it as cause.
Will try it next time, when the errors happen (and they will).
