I am preparing my garage and wiring the 14-50 receptacle. Does anyway know the distance from the rear bumper to the charge port cover?

recommend NEMA 14-50 close to garage door - so that charger can “reach” into driveway

25 ft cord on PMCC will easily reach front driver’s side charger
15 ft cord on PMC+ will also easily reach

I’ve found EV charger as close to garage door for both garage and driveway access works out best

but your situation may be different.

I just did this in my garage quick and dirty like - I wouldn't trust this to the inch (or even 2 inches) but it's close enough to get the right idea

12 ft - appears to be about it +/- 2 inches from rear bumper

Thanks good point. That changes my thinking.

Mine is mounted on the wall in between garage doors (3-car garage) for driveway access as well as keeping cord away from the front wall to avoid tripping on it.

I put mine on the back wall of the garage so when I pull in it's as close as possible.

I did this as well for the reasons stated above (charge in garage and driveway if needed) and also so that I can charge cars in 2 bays from a single outlet.

Yep used this 30ft cord to move the already mounted by previous owner 14-50 NEMA plug access on rear garage wall to my front garage door entry wall that way with my level 2 EV charger I can reach into the driveway to charge or inside depending on where parked. Right now my wife's BMW has been the beneficiary of the new setup but works well. Should allow me to reach out into the garage to where my Taycan will sit most days when doing DD duty when it arrives. :)
