I'm curious how other owners fare in this area. My driving is typically 60/40 city/highway and I average 45-50 kWh/100mi.

You really can't rely on much of anything the app shows regarding consumption. My lifetime (which somehow shows 1,500 miles less than the actual mileage) is 27.8 kWh/100 miles. Not even close to real life. 31 or 32 kWh/100 is more like actual. Recently all trips prior to May 15th 2025 have disappeared from my history. Who knows where Porsche comes up with what pops up in the app.

And with the lost history the screen you have displayed is unavailable to me via the app. It was at one time but that's Porsche.

My lifetime reads as 3.2. Which is total balderdash ? .

Currently getting between 2.7 and 3.2 on a decent trip. 21" TTST on 21" Spyders, but a lot of my trips are very short!

Winter I'm on 20" Turbo Aero's on winters and get between 1.8 and 2.4 on longer trips (2.8 at a push!).

What?! You dare question my 22.6kWh/100mi?!

I’m steadily inching my way to free energy over here.

I put 240kwh in may which works out at 2.13 mi/ kWh this is accurate,so they’re overcooking it approx 20% . My long term which is missing 9k miles from a earlier reboot by Porsche shows 3.5 mi/kwh which is outrageous!

I'm with the others, there is no way this is accurate. The car is consistently reporting a range of 208-215 miles at 80% SOC, which would translate to 260-269 miles at 100% SOC. Based on 83.7 kWh usable capacity, that would be ~3.2 mi/kWh, not the 2.8 shown in the app.

a common explanation on German forum is that the app mesures only the energy used by the drivetrain, but doesn’t count energy lost to things like battery heating/cooling, running the car electronics, etc. Therefore the inaccuracy with what we experience in real life

Your math need a little modifying. Usable capacity new is generally accepted to be 86.7 kWh, not 83.7. In addition you need to factor in battery degradation. Check this thread for info: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/?-baseline-for-hv-battery-soh-performance-battery-degradation-data-by-taycan-owners.12815/

86.7 kWh new, and assume a 90% SoH for a 2022 car and you have roughly 78 kWh usable at 100%. Assuming your real world range roughly matches the displayed range (265 miles) your consumption/efficiency would work out to 2.94 miles/kWh (Edit: Can't do elementary school math any more. S/b 3.4 miles/kWh). Not too far from the figure shown in the app and if @Gru is correct and the app does not account for HVAC, preconditioning,... then the app is pretty close to what you use to move the car. You will need a Bluetooth dongle and an app to check your SoH and that would let you get better numbers than from my estimate of a 90% SoH. You also need to account for how closely the displayed range and your real world range match.

However, even if the app reports a seemingly accurate figure in your case I still have massive doubts that it is accurate, except by occasional accident. There are a lot of reports on the forum of unrealistic figures.

The number I'm most concerned with is mileage on long hwy trips at 70mph. For me, this has been confirmed on a number of trips at 2.8mi/kWh. This gives a range at 100% of about 230 miles. Temp is around 60 deg F. SOH is 95%. Much colder will give a bit less, much warmer a bit more.
