The car only uses low gear under hard acceleration. Otherwise it stays in top the whole time, and feels more Tesla like. Both kick down and upshift are unnecessarily harsh and uncomfortable and ruin the car imho. Hopefully next gen Porsche will either sort it out or delete it altogether.

Only true for Normal drive mode, maybe Range. Sport and Sport+ use the low gear until ~55mph, even if accelerating slowly.

Oh good info thanks. I’ve never tried those modes. Maybe they will make it a better drive experience.

I LOVE the kick of 2nd gear at full throttle. The 2 gears make the car better IMO when you use the various driving modes for their intended purposes.
