Range with %85 battery for Taycan 4S Performance Plus

Guys, I feel the conversation gets a bit blurred.
the question is specifically about a 4s PB+, the undiscussed variable being 20/21” wheels, or heatpump.
touting range calculator numbers or RWD’s are only muddying the waters more.

Agreed, and the discussion is incomplete without consideration of type of driving and driving style. Driving aggressively vs. conservatively will materially impact your range.

What is the range you get with %85 battery for Taycan 4S Performance plus in normal mode with city driving?

I charge my 2022 Taycan 4S with a Performance Plus battery at 80% and during the winter the range is about 300km in Normal driving mode while during the summer is about 350km in Normal driving mode. I live in Ontario, Canada and I use this car almost exclusively in the city. If charged at 100% the range can reach 420 km during the summer.

I live in a warm climate. My 4S displayed range at 85% charge has consistently shown a bit over 250 miles for the past 2.5 years. I have never validated the actual mileage, however.

Hello from the USA and the Great State of Arizona!

I own a 2020 Taycan Turbo with 20” Aero Wheels and the big battery. Less than 15% of my miles are on highways. My efficiency during the warmer months averages about 3.4 miles per kWh. It drops to around 3.1 during the cool months.

I charge my battery to 80% and at this time of year my range estimate is 235 miles which I think is about 378 kilometers. My mostly local driving means my average speed is well below 30 mph so lots of regenerative braking adds to my range.

Any chance you could add a Poll to this thread with a set of ranges at 85% SOC? For example --

• Less than 150 miles
• 151-160 miles
• 161-170 miles
• 171 - 180 miles
• 181 - 190 miles
• 191 - 200 miles
• 201 - 210 miles
• 211 - 220 miles
• 221 & up

For what it's worth, I'm at 212 miles at 85% SOC. Summer is good to me ?

UPDATE - If you do this, best to state that only 2020 - 2024 models with the PB+. The newer 2025 models would skew the data...

My guess-o-meter reads between 215 and 255 miles at 85% SOC with the air conditioning on in NORMAL mode. Add 20 miles when the A/C is off.

I only charge to 80% routinely but based on that I calculate between 201 and 210 miles after holiday motorway driving recently but over 220 mainly A and B roads around home.

At 85% SoC my Taycan guesstimator shows ~185miles for me lately (summer 21" PS4S tires). I've seen it reach 201 miles on a occasion. Haven't done many long distance trips to validate actual mileage.

Wow! That is quite some miles you can get. I can only see about 350 to 360 km at 100%. Very seldom over 400 km even in summertime.

As we've stated in previous threads, this number isn't realistic. I'm not sure what the algorithm is that Porsche uses, but based on my mi/kWh used, the 285 is more like 250. Still quite good, but I'll guess that actual mileage at 100% on a long trip at 70mph in range mode at summer temps would be somewhere around 280.

Only consumption numbers (miles or kilometers / kWh) are the real measure as we've said many many times before.
