I don't think that is correct.
A Tesla has the charging port at the left rear corner. The Taycan at the right front corner.
So if you park 'front first' with the Taycan, the charging port is at the same location. So you do not take two parking spots.
Not in the UK - the DC port is on the passenger side (left) of the car as we are RHD here. So OP with the best will in the world will be parked in the ‘wrong’ bay. No biggie if it’s not too busy.

Ah, really. They moved the DC charging port because the steering wheel is on the other side ?
Weird. And Tesla did not move the charging port for RHD countries ?

Is there a map of the open superchargers?
There are several ways you can find these.
Of course in the Tesla app under your account plus under Charge your non Tesla.

or you can use the likes of an app called ChargeFinder. Great app with many filters that you can set for different power levels, Tesla, Non Tesla, Different plugs if needed. And in most cases you can view free or occupied chargers as well.

hopw would I know if i have the 150kw charging option?
Go to the My Porsche web portal:

https://my.porsche.com/core/gb/en_GB/

Login with your ID and click on your vehicle in the overview, scroll down and go to Techical Data section. Click on ‘Vehicle Specifications & Technical Data’ - a pop up will shown you the full factory build spec.

If you have it it’s listed under the “E-Mobility” section as “150kW on-board DC-DC converter”

The Tesla Web Map lists them here - although we’ve discovered there have been some omissions recently as they do updates.

The best source of the truth is the Tesla smartphone app using the “charge your non-Tesla” section under your profile. Needed anyway to start / stop / pay for charging there anyway.

Yes a RHD Taycan has the DC port on the opposite side of the car to LHD cars. So we do ‘block’ two spaces at SuC in this country.

Future models like the Macan EV look to have both ports on either side of the car DC equipped as well as AC like the Taycan.

There are very few cars with two actual charge ports currently. Porsche is in the minority.

Not in Europe they are now CCS plugs. Apple’s to the Americas

OP seems to be in the U.K.
but the site still needs to "allow" non-tesla's to charge - and that apparently varies by region as to which superchargers sites are "enabled" for non-Tesla's.

You need a super charger with the “magic dock.”

Supercharger w/Magic Dock
As said Tesla has been Type 2 (modified) here since 2012-ish and CCS-2 (slightly different to your CCS-1) since the model 3 arrived in 2019.

Magic dock needed only in your neck of the woods.

If they were all CCS male charging plugs that would mean Teslas come with CCS charging female receptacle car ports in Europe? Is that the case? That and much longer charging cords would help solve the problem.

See post above. Since the model 3 arrived on our shores.

Longer SuC cables are coming with the v4 design Tesla tombstones. Installed one site in the Netherlands and coming elsewhere. I know of one for certain in the UK. Otherwise they seem to be running down their existing supply of short cable v3 tombstones.
