Where did you get your charging cable with a porsche crest from?

Its just the cable that was supplied with the car.

Because the charger is non-tethered, I wanted a quick way to know which end was which when taking the lead out.

So I got that stick-on Porsche logo to show which is the 'car end'.

I'm relieved to say that I've now tried for myself and have corrected my misapprehension that there were 3 stop positions. There's only fully or half-open and I can get in and out at the half-way one, handless but brushing multiple surfaces so not ideal if with metal zips, studs or any other bondage gear.

Carport outside my house. Charger mounted on the wall directly behind the car (can turn it off with an app so no big deal).

Front of car (up to headlights) is genrally exposed to the elements, but I assume the car can survive that. Also during winter with salty roads, putting a car in a warm garage is likely not a very good idea?

Come to think of it, my original check was in my pretty level garage, today the car was facing downslope on my driveway.

I still see 3 open stops, including the full open. So, two intermediate ones. The first open has the exterior swung out about 21” (530mm) with an ingress gap just under 11” (280mm) at the narrowest point with the armrest.

Based on the measurements from your initial post, I think what I see as the first stop is what you referenced as the middle stop.

So, now my ingress/egress accomplishments do not seem so grand. I guess I’ll remove them from my LinkedIn profile.

For those interested – after three days in a Porsche Approved Body shop – it was back absolutely perfect.

I love the Taycan and I am considering it as a choice along with the BMW i4, but because the Taycan is so wide and long, it will not fit in my double garage! The door access is 2m wide and the taycan is almost that. The garage length is 5m, but I know the Taycan is almost that length too!

My driveway is really long and can fit probably 5 taycans.... but for my most expensive car purchase, it would drive me crazy knowing that it is outdoors in all weathers in the UK, when my current £1000 car has been kept and pampered in my garage for 14 years! (it's a fairly new build house with double garage - two door access - see pic). I also wanted the charger to be in the garage too

So my question is, where do you guys keep your Taycan?
Will keeping it outdoors affect the battery life and increase insurance premiums?

Any advice much appreciated.

Not a problem just get builder to sort with RSJ and have one garage door and would look really good /classy there you go sorted ps fit electric door opening /remote control better still then no ice/wet days ha ha

Flawless work. How much did that run you if you don’t mind my asking…? I’m assuming they had to paint the whole rear door?
