Hi Guys,

new to this forum and looking to buy a second hand taycan 4s or turbo.

i came across this picture. Is this dolomite silver? I really like this colour but it looks more 'greyish' than 'blueish', so I am not sure if this is indeed dolomite silver.

What do you guys think?

You Sir have good taste.
It's the best looking color available, especially when you add black accents.

I am guessing, when you seen it more blueish, it is on a blue sky day, where it will reflect a bit of the blue in the sky. definately the best colour

I don’t think that‘s Dolomite Silver, it’s PTS GT Silver.

I wouldn't trust photos (typically will have been supposedly "enhanced" by camera and displays) or renders (Porsche Configurator in particular) to give an accurate impression of colour. Saturation, colour balance, response to different lighting conditions etc really needs to be seen on the vehicle (even the small paint sample blocks at Porsche dealerships can give misleading impressions- Frozen Blue for example).

Honestly, you should be deciding what color you like rather than relying upon the opinion of a bunch of strangers. FWIW I think "silver" and especially "metallic" has had its day. In other words, it's common, even if a derivative. The "new black" seems to be flat and vibrant colors, so I went with Neptune Blue. YMMV - so don't take it from me. Get what YOU like.

Our Taycan is Dolomite Silver. The car in the photo appears to be Dolomite Silver as well, but photos are tough to rely on sometimes.

Dolomite Silver does have a subtle blue hue under cloudy skies. It's a nice color, though I'd have preferred Gentian Blue Metallic. We have four other cars that are blue, so my wife wanted something different.

IME silver shows dirt the least and black the most so silver is a good choice here in the UK with our weather and roads in winter since it doesn't look horrible 10 minutes after you wash it.

I am going back more into colours now after 25 years of monochrome choices.

You should simply get what you like since colour is such a personal thing, as is clear from this forum!

My only proviso with an EV is that a dark coloured car with a dark interior will obviously have worse range in sunny conditions than a light coloured car with pale interior..
