Whining noise under 50mph

I have GTS and I have whining noise under 50mph regardless of driving mode and recuperation.
I hear both under acceleration and deceleration. Is this normal?

It's not normal. I had a drive unit replaced in 2021.

Maybe there is a resemblance with the thread I started and the answers forum members gave me? In my car the humming isn’t there in the range mode, so that’s a difference…

That's because it's first gear that is the problem. Range mode only uses second gear.

Mine certainly makes a different sound in the lower gear but I can’t remember if it always has done. If I drive at 40mph in normal mode then switch to sport (thereby forcing a gear change) the pitch certainly changes to more of a whine. I don’t know if this comes from the PDK being in the lower gear or simply because the electric motor is spinning almost twice as fast.

Gearbox is not PDK.
