OK, so for all this update to work, I have to "uninstall" my charger...

That only works with 2021 models. When I plug in, it doesn't show the VIN.
Never worked for me too, but then I only tried once or twice. Can you confirm that after updates it does not work for MY2020?

The doc is what they hoped to achieve but in practice it is somewhat different.
For example, "Digital cockpit sporadic loading spinners and resets are avoided". I still have them after the update.
The 12v issue might be prevented during charging but I still caught my PCM with a forever spinner while the car was off and not connected to a charger which almost certainly would drain the battery.
Some of the WMA7 improvements do not work for 2020 like displaying SOC on PMCC.

On the other hand, there might be bug fixes which are not described in the doc.

I tried it once after update, and the charger didn't identify my car. I think others here have reported the same thing for '20 cars

Could also be an improperly installed update then, who knows.
I never had these issues.
Only when loading weather or news but it always finished correctly.

Thanks for posting this!
By the way, it has taken 5 days for the update as the radio update has continued to fail (what the Porsche tech told me). I don’t really see a radio update in the documents??

Could be a module used by the radio, no idea.

"Radio" could be gateway module, OTA module or PCM, all three of which are included in the update.

I could not get it to work either with my 2020 after the WMA5/7 update.
Well, I'll give it go, once I get the updates. Still no word from Porsche though - has been really quiet lately.

Another new feature is the activation of the passenger display when you're driving without a passenger in the seat.
2021-04-03_17.19.15.jpg

First, select the middle button in the lower middle display.
2021-04-03_17.19.39.jpg

Then, deselect the checkbox in the pop-up menu in the upper middle display.
This is only possible in Park.
Close the pop-up menu.

If this doesn't work the first time, try this:
-Call up the pop-up menu again.
-SELECT standby mode.
-Put into Drive.
-Put into Park.
-DESELECT standby mode.
-Close pop-up menu.
-Put into Drive.

As long as you don't put it into Park it stays on.
Unfortunately the setting isn't saved so you have to do this every time you start the car...
Thanks for the tip. Worked great.

It puzzles me how Porsche's logic suggests that they think a person sitting in the passenger seat somehow prevents the driver from looking at the display.

Also, they build cars capable of over 200mph and ask for no evidence that the customer is capable of handling the car yet cannot trust the same customer should they be tempted to glance at the passenger display...

RE: Passenger Screen
Does anyone know if this has been changed for 2022 Cars so that it can be automatically done? I’m trying to decide whether to add this Option.
