I haven't tried to go faster, and don't think I ever would. Although, I've (ahem) gotten close. But if I recall correctly, the max speed (governor limited) on my last car - a BMW 550, was 160mph. Why is the max on the Taycan 130? I am getting this from the sticker on the dash. I assume it's the same on all models (?). Is it that you could damage the battery if you went faster?

Sticker on the dash? Everything I've read and even Porsche's own website lists 161mph

someone on the forums might have actually tested the limit - I can't say who/when or how much fun they had or even if it was real/dream

but I seem to recall 163 mph indicated speed on the main dash…

:p

All season tires. The sticker is there to notify you of the tires top speed. M&S is the mountain & snow rating.

Ah, thanks. I should have put my glasses on and read the sticker more carefully.

Even the winter tires are V-rated but the all-seasons are only H? This makes me second-guess choosing all-seasons.

As others have posted, the all-seasons are fine...but I’d really love Michelin to do a set of cup tires for the Taycan. If they don’t, I’ll get a set of the P-Zeros in the spring and take my sticker off the dash. :)

The N-spec tires are Pirelli P Zero Winters which are 149 mph max. I don't go above 145 so that's good enough for me, whereas the all-seasons would require restraint.
There's a video that floated around a few months ago with a guy hitting 167 on the autobahn. I'm assume Porsche is slightly underrating the top speed in the same manner as they state the 0-60 time.

Ahh this is due to the fact that the speedometer in Porsche cars is offset by a few mph, (I think 5) after around 40mph. So when you’re doing 167 on the dash you are probably doing 161mph

All cars have this offset.

I hit 135 with summer tires. There was plenty left on the accelerator, but by then my balls had disappeared. That’s jail time in Virginia, lots of it.

More importantly, how hard is it to get the sticker off the dash?
I removed the sticker on the second day. I have a plastic painting / drywall tool that I was able to slip under the sticker.

Our 2016 GT4 did not - it perfectly matched a GPS with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. All our other Porsche’ (3) indicate 2 mph faster than actual speed (above 20 mph).
