Just to bring this thread full circle, the deal is now done. The Taycan is gone and this lovely thing has finally arrived. So that's me leaving for now at least.
Unlike some who have sold and moved on I thought the Taycan was (is) a great car. Over 4 years and 40000 miles I only ever needed a couple of sets of new tyres and a single heater replacement, otherwise faultless. I took it all over the place, completed road trips and used it as a daily, and it was fun. I'm just glad it was on a lease so I didn't feel the full brunt of the depreciation. If it had just been a little smaller I think I would probably have kept it and given it to my wife but its just too long and too wide for her and our county lanes (and in truth me too).
Anyway bye for now.

You cannot go wrong with a guards red 911!

I’ve had three. Would love to see more on your build.

It's GTS4. I'm not keen on Alcantara or sunroofs so the spec looks like this:

Guards red
Black leather with crayon stiching and light silver package
GTS wheels in satin black
Side skirts in black
18 ways
Privacy glass
Leather GT steering wheel
Power steering plus
PDCC
Front axel lift
Surround view

Only had it a few days but I'm smitten

I love the GTS package across the board. It usually has everything you would have added anyway.

I’d really like to see more pics of the interior, that crayon stitching sounds like a really nice touch.

Yepp, can't go wrong with a 911!
But also not with a Taycan.
I "need" both 😋
Deviated stitching always adds this extra special. Wish, I'd have it in mine. 😍

Viel Spass mit dem heilig'n Blechle!

I am a big fan of the GTS hybrid installation it should give EV throttle response in a turbo car (my big bugbear about turbos is response) with electric motor and motor/generator on the turbo.
The only thing I dislike about my Taycan is its size, particularly width, but I bought it cash so have bought another 3 years warranty to keep it longer.
I probably would have kept it anyway since I like it, but it also mitigates depreciation a bit.

I have a love hate relationship with the new GTS.
Love because the response is really not far from an EV. The T-Hybrid is magic. Loved driving it.
Hate because now it also has this entire hybrid thing that can (and will) go wrong, it has SFD2, so very limited who can work on it, and due to that it might not hold it's value as well anymore as the previous cars.

David, I applaud your choice and taste. That 992 color with the black wheels is stunning. We have a new 2025 Taycan (got for my wife for her 50th birthday) and I have a 991.2, which I just sold. Why? It sat in the garage too much. I drove the Taycan weekends and the quiet elegance intoxicated me but in (obviously) a different way. After driving the Taycan, the 991.2 was too cramped and too loud. And I'm a small guy (5'6" 130lbs). I think it is my age (65) and preferring calm. I'm actually looking at used Taycans now for me. Enjoy that 992. Feel free to post a photo of the interior.

I am also considering getting rid of my 2020 Taycan Turbo - am cross shopping a few different options - (buying outright)new M5 Touring or RS6 ... or just leasing a DBX 707 (less likely but an option as there are some crazy deals) Can't get that excited about trading Taycan for J2. in any variant (don't want that crazy depreciation again).

The rest of our cars are coupe/convertible and need a pseudo-sensible daily
