saw same message on TYD, but my car completed production 21 June and it looks like it's been at Emden estimated load by Aug. 19, waiting for PSA to confirm the vehicle carrier name and eta...
Did it get on the ship as scheduled on August 19th??

So my car has gone into the final stage, according to MyPorsche (UK). "Final Steps before delivery". Not holding out hope the car has a battery, but I guess you never know ?‍♂

We don't get that detail in the UK, but the car was in the factory having its glamour shots on 25th August. Notification for completion was 02/09/2022, but it was completed before that date (my SA said this).

I was told yesterday (by insider at Porsche GB) that Porsche are giving priority to production line cars over completed cars when it comes to distributing 12v batteries as they become available - not great news for completed cars awaiting batteries! Apparently they do not want the production line to halt and storage of battery-less cars is becoming an issue so I guess they are working their way through it. Good luck to all those waiting.

If you look at the my Porsche page on the internet the date of the various stages is on there if you click on "find out current phase"
The first 2 for me note the same date as phase three "scheduled for production" 16/4/22 when my order was 19/7/21 in fact.
Phase four "your vehicle has been produced" shows 31/7/22
Phase 5 "final steps before delivery" was 17/8/22

This is what I expected and feared.
The batteries will all go onto production cars until there are surplus to production requirements and subsequently, probably, fitted to the nearest car to the storage compound exit, rather than chronologically, to get the backlog cleared asap.

So I guess we assume yours was shipped in August then? Has it arrived at a dealer, or is is sitting in Porsche warehouse somewhere in Emden?

Mine was on the cusp of when the batteries were allegedly due to be available to the factory, but I don't have confidence in it having a fitted 12v battery.

Yep. Like I said, my car said it was produced on 02/09/2022. It had gone to scheduled on 31/05/2022. Today (16/09/2022), it's gone to Step 5 "final steps before delivery".

NB: UK date conventions.

That makes me so angry :( It means it might take many months for me to get my car delivered. It’s been sitting at the dealer for weeks now.

When phase 4 cropped up the dealer told me it was usually 3 to 4 weeks before the car would be ready to pick up but Phase 5 didn't happen for over 2 weeks and the dealer has had no news since, still in Germany afaik.
I have been promised an update on 20th after the Queen's funeral bank holiday, but if it is the same as all the other updates it will be "no news".

Edit, it looks like EU cars are being shipped to dealers to await the batteries and non-EU kept in a compound in Germany.

Hmm, @tigerbalm was at the Taycan factory tour earlier this month and witnessed the production line physically stopping for quite some time. He was told it was due to part shortages.

Sounds like another miscommunication from Porsche.

Your VIN number should be available on My Porsche by this stage. Once you have placed you car in your virtual garage it will show you if there are any outstanding recalls/updates on the car. Your dealer can do this as well. As quoted earlier in this thread, if your car needs the WNJ7 update - that is the 12V battery I believe.
