Spirited driving in SW Michigan yesterday in beautiful 80 degree weather. Took the car from 300 total miles to 500+. Great day. Charged overnight. Extremely happy with driving in optimal conditions and mileage estimates from it. Wife unplugged the car before 100%. Second time charging. Went to 85% first time.
Porsche Taycan 271 miles! 100% charged. What’s your range shown? fullsizeoutput_3dd6

Summer, 270 Normal mode, 290 Range mode have been my max on the highway, 65-75 mph. 4S / The big battery. 230-250 miles of spirited driving In the hills of Western Maryland, West Virginia. The recuperation really comes into play going up and down hills.
Numbers are pretty consistent and match well with the guess-o-meter.
Do you have the recuperation on all the time (even with highway)? Thank you.

Highway, no recouperation or auto reupe if there is traffic. In town, no recoup. On PCA tour through hills, recoup on (gives me a little feel of engine braking). Going up and down hills in the country seemed to keep the battery in pretty good charge.

Seems like the best to use recoup is for hills?

Yes, or just use the brakes, it is all recoup. If I am cruising the hills, i like the feel of the rcoup.

Didn’t know the brakes are the auto recoup. Thanks for sharing.

The brake pedal uses up to 265kW of regen before pads, far more than overrun recup ever uses.

Since coasting is more efficient than regen and the brakes use regen anyway, it’s typically most efficient to leave overrun recup (the button on the steering wheel) off.

People turn It on to change the driving dynamics, but turning it on does not increase efficiency/range.

Got my car end of Nov ( with battery plus package )last year and seldom charged to 100%. Most of the time I tried to stay around 80-85%。 last night I did 100% and got 271 miles!!! Super happy. ❤ What was your max mileage?

The most I have ever achieved, which was earlier today, was 307 miles with both range mode and Eco+ on.

250-260 for me. However, I find that the range number bounced around as the Porsche software tries to guesstimate. I just returned from a 1700Km (1,062 mi) trip from the Pacific to the Rockies and back. Averaged right around 5KM per KwHr (3.125 mi/KwHr) which means around 400Km actual. Driving mainly in Range mode and much of the time on cruise control. Fairly hot weather with AC on all the time.
