Hello !

I'm new to the forum, trying to configure a Taycan 4S. The dealer is telling me that if I want the front view camera on my car I have to add Adaptive Cruise Control (P49). This sounds a bit odd. That option does not say this in its description. Doesn't the "Park Assist, including Surround View" (KA6) include the front view camera? I'd find it ridiculous if it wouldn't be so - otherwise how would the "Surround View" even work?

Can someone help clarify?

Thank you!

Dealer is wrong, they're unrelated. Unless your regional Porsche requires it for some reason, but Porsche North America for example doesn't, because there's no technical link between the two features.

If ever you use cruise control ACC is better. Not cheap though. I have both options and like both of them

I'm not sure about your exact question, BUT please note that the SurroundView and SurroundView 3D are very different! There have been a few posts on here with people expecting to get the "pinch/swipe to rotate" view with SurroundView, but all you actually get is the simulated white Taycan looking from the top. You need to have 3D to get the rotate view... and that might very well require a front camera. I'm not sure, as I spec'd both the SurroundView 3D and the ACC/Innodrive.

360 Park assist. pici shows front camera. To change view press the camera icons round the car for a static view. Press the bottom one and you can rotate the left screen with your finger. It is a must have. It is amazing. You will never kerb the alloys.
