Maybe because you said the car is a "complete failure"? Maybe?
…and then made a ridiculous statement about the “disappointed” rate in the poll I linked, a poll where I’m the first non-OP comment to say how much I like the car…a poll that suggests the opposite of failure.

That’s why I added the wink.

Chill out.

Sorry to hear about your sexual frustrations. Enjoy your car. I'm very happy for you. Just sort out real issues from operator error. Again, enjoy and happy to hear about your lease duration.

My apologies. Sensitized to all the negatives on this forum. I am very happy to hear you are a fan of the car - really. Sorry about that.

it could be hype, do you really trust media reports on cars? or anything else?
I trust engineering; I trust long-standing auto journalists to do their job. I trust that a company will do the right thing considering this is their first attempt at an ev.

No worries! You’ll be hard pressed to find any actual negative feedback from me about the car in any of my posts. I love it!

Yeah complete failure would mean the car doesn’t do anything; performance, engineering, nothing.

Sounds more more like a vent over recalls than anything else.

I've owned 8 Porsches and have loved them all. So I have confidence in the Taycan (mine arrives in a couple weeks). I acknowledge the loss of power issue is a major issue but trust Porsche will/has figured it out. Lots of other stuff on this forum seems like haters looking for anything/everything to bitch about. Reading lots of these threads you'd think everyone hates the car. I've had issues with mine but they've always been dealt with promptly and appropriately. Thanks for clarifying for me and glad you're loving your car.

All first year run cars will have problems, especially EVs.
It's how the OEM handles these issues and remedies them.
It sounds like Porsche has done a good job

  • OTA's are working now.
  • Plug&Charge also depends on charging network. Not really an issue to use an app, particularly if you mostly charge at home.
  • trunk/frunk hands free opener exists on the keyfob, just keep it handy when you need it.
  • PCM working.
  • Car play working, even when the phone is in the car behind. Overachieved?
  • 12v battery issues. Solved.
  • Complete random system failures. On recall.
  • Poor routing via nav system. Maybe not the best but working. Use you IPhone app instead, since Car play is working.

Just curious about the OTAs... are these mostly for maps? Do we get notified if OTAs occur?

such a simple solution!
why didn't I think of that?
maybe because I signed a 39 month contract to lease the car.
but thanks for your very special insights.
Sounds to me you need to (re)read the fine print of your lease contract.
I know for sure I would drop the car at the lessor and write them a letter stating that the car is at their disposal to get fixed. Payments would be suspended until the car is fixed and received back.
I haven't read all you messages about your issues, but you probably already talked to a lawyer?
