Neither of the workarounds working for you (disable interior sensor or don't use app)? I haven't had the issue since doing this - however, still awaiting the official fix as I don't find either of these acceptable long term.
The app and disabling interior monitoring seems to work but I’m just fed up with this car. Problem after problem, recall after recall. Just sick of it.

Its been reported by some owners that even after the dealer has swapped the sensor, they still have issues. Please report back to confirm this is a real fix.
Yes - my first fix didn't work. Dealer awaiting advice from Germany who don't have a fix as yet...apparently

If I don't use the app and double-click on locking, that seems to work as a temporary work-around

I get it; there definitely seems to be more than a few lemons coming out the factory on this particular model. Unfortunate because it's a great car to drive.

yeah I put the car in privacy mode, deleted the app, and that seemed to help.

stopped going off in my garage at least.

I tested it by deleting the app and starting privacy mode but keeping interior monitoring and in my garage it seems fine.

but the point I’m making is I mean this issue is almost a year old. Porsche has no idea how to fix it. This goes to show how rushed this car was. If a company has no solution for this issue whose to say a more serious issue down the road they won’t either which after the 3 recalls I’ve already had to do with this thing who knows what’s next.

Like look at this poor person

https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/porsche-should-stay-out-of-electric-game.9455/

It’s just insane the amount of issues with this car.

I understand your frustration but Porsche has a fix for the alarm issue that is documented on this forum. There is a new sensor that needs to be installed (not a replacement of the original, but a new part number). I want to call this out as I see many people either have not read about it or don’t believe it.

Is that confirmed?

Went to my dealership yesterday and they told me there is no sensor and had no idea what this forum was talking about ?

Maybe it’s still not communicated global yet?

Yes it was confirmed by multiple people on this forum. Yes, it’s getting rolled out globally still so it’s very possible your dealer doesn’t know yet. You should let them know.

So after putting my car in privacy mode to deal with this issue I now just got this email

“ We have removed the following vehicle from your Porsche ID account:

Taycan (VIN: *************5666)

If you still own this vehicle, please contact us immediately so we can keep your services active.

When selling or returning a vehicle, please remember to cancel or transfer the following subscriptions (if equipped):
Porsche Connect (your services have already been canceled)”

What kinda nonsense is this?

Update: just to let everyone also know here my Porsche connect ID email is different from the email I use from my dealership.

I got this email because the dealership decided to change the Porsche connect email to the one they have on record inherently resulting in services getting revoked. So just a update for everyone to know if this happens to them also.

I had the same issue with Alarm reported by many on this site. I contacted my Porsche dealer in Finland and after checking my car details they got ok from Porsche to change interior sensor and they also performed some PCM update at same time to my MY 2022 Taycan 4S.
Fix was done this morning and atleast no alarms yet ? Lets see if this fixed the issue.

I am getting the new sensor installed on March 9th. Had to bring in my car to "Confirm" that I had the issue. Not sure what the dealership did but they confirmed that I needed the replacement part and scheduled it for March 9th. They told me this is being rolled out slowly because of chip supply and that every single 2022 will need this replacement. They said is is a 2022 issue but from this forum I'm not sure because I started reading about the issue before I even ordered the car in early 2021.

Annoyingly my new sensor hasn't arrived at the dealership yet, so my appointment is being pushed back 2 weeks. Can't wait to get it fixed!

Had my alarm service carried out today, can confirm the problem is fixed. I tried both ways of replicating the false alarm and both failed to trigger it.

FINALLY!!!

New part number is PAB951172 as already confirmed by others.

I also noticed that the Alarm service has disappeared from the Porsche Connect / My Porsche functions list (visible when you log in on a web browser.)

EDIT: Kept the car locked overnight and played with the My Porsche app this morning... still no alarm!!! It's fixed

Does anyone know if there's any dealers in the US, particularly North California area perform the alarm fix? I took my car in today for the WNA5 upgrade (Porsche Redwood city), and the service manager told me they have not received any updates from Porsche NA. This looks quite different to people's experience here.
