yes. TYD has been going from estimated to actual pretty much on schedule so far. Here’s an update:

Change freeze point reached 9/21/22 (actual)
Scheduled for production 9/30 (estimated) -> 10/5/22 (actual)
Start production 10/21 (estimated) -> 10/21 (actual)
Production completed 10/28 (estimated) -> 10/27 (actual)
In Transit to Emden Port 10/28 (estimated) -> 10/28 (actual)
Arrival Emden port 10/28 (estimated) -> ?
Entry Port Baltimore, MD 11/18 (estimated) -> ?
Arrival at my Porsche dealer in Chicago 11/25/22 (estimated) -> ?

Hopefully by the time my Taycan arrives at Emden, there will be room for it aboard the Siem Cicero, which is scheduled to depart Emden sometime next week.

Try calling your dealer or Porsche customer support for a status update because for some people, TYD has not been reliably updating or is somehow delayed in updating progress.

I'll do that. Even though ours had the same production start estimate, My TYD arrival at a Denver dealer is 12-16-22. Getting nervous about a 2022 deliver (want to get the tax rebate).

My RWD went into production on 10/25, and TYD says it’s done. My dealer delivery date changed from 12/9 to 12/16 (Houston port).

Edit: Dealer arrival date has changed to 12/2, and that’s the date my SA has as well. Hopefully it’s accurate!

? My schedule was aligned with yours until it wasn't. 10/21 Production slipped to 10/24, and CP8.0 is not expected until 11/04. Not sure why a lowly 4CT would be more challenging to produce than a GTS..

At least I got a VIN today, so I guess that's something.

Taking possession in 2022 is not a requirement for the rebate. Assuming you had a "binding contract" before 8/16, that is.

I placed my order on November 26, 2021. My vehicle completed production on July 9 and has been in storage since waiting for a 12V battery. Yesterday, October 28, my vehicle finally reached Emden and has a dealer arrival date of December 9!

My car is going through Baltimore and has been pushed from 8OCT to 9DEC. It’s a SEP build that was originally going to be a ‘22 build in May. Has anyone asked for any compensation from their SA for the delays?

Mine just emailed me today and said he’d throw in 2 years of service (which is a placebo as we all know) so I countered with them throwing in window tint and ceramic coating. We’ll see what happens.

Well I’m officially on the Sunshine Ace. Scheduled to arrive in Houston on 11/18. TYD still showing a 12/16 delivery date in Austin. Although I’m fairly certain that delivery date will come a bit sooner, I think port prep work and the holiday, first week of December might be realistic for delivery.

Out of curiosity, why is it worthless? Does every Taycan come with 2 years of service already included, or is the first Taycan scheduled service not until year 3?

EVs are colloquially known to have very little service, the taycan’s routine service is pretty basic and consists of tire rotations, windshield wiper changeouts, and “general inspections”. There are a few members who have posted their 2-year maintenance experience on here and they can correct me if I’m wrong. If it was an ICE car I might take him up on it, but if my SA is offering something complimentary then I’d rather have something more beneficial.

TYD says my car was loaded to Sunshine Ace yesterday with a new delivery date of Nov 25. I expect that a Dec delivery is more realistic. Now the nervous wait for the ocean crossing. That didn’t go so well last time.
