December 2022 Deliveries

TYD says my car was loaded to Sunshine Ace yesterday with a new delivery date of Nov 25. I expect that a Dec delivery is more realistic. Now the nervous wait for the ocean crossing. That didn’t go so well last time.

Perhaps the last experience was with the ship called Felicity Ace, which sank with a bunch of Porsches (and other cars) onboard earlier this year.

It is if you want to receive the rebate in 2023 (filed with 2022 taxes).

Yes, that is what I was trying to say. Also, on the day JRB signed the TRA, I did not have a 5% deposit. When I saw the IRS's guidance on that, I upped my deposit to more than 5%. So, my claim is in a gray area; my assertion is that I complied with the guidance when it was received. Waiting to make the deduction on my 2023 taxes would only increase the potential scrutiny, as I doubt there will be many such claims in TY 2023.

Glovis Stella on the move to Emden now. It’s the next west coast bound boat for a month, so for those of us headed there hoping we finally get on this one. I know some of us with 2022 builds that completed this summer have missed 2 west coast boats already (Late Aug and Late Sept)

Is your On Vessel date and Arrive at Dealer date still say mid-Nov and late-Dec?
I meant with so many delays on TYD, I don't want to get disappointed again by it.

Yes, seems to be a placeholder as there’s no mid Nov west coast bound boat. Next few days will be crucial as far as seeing it move to on vessel. I’ll be really upset if it doesn’t since it seems a lot of 2023s whose builds started in Sept are starting to get on the boats to east coast and gulf

I am considering starting a thread for us who saw the large delays (late 2022, early 2023 builds) to see if we can try to request from PCNA some sort of compensation. Just frustrating that some of us with summer 2022 builds ended up with massive delays vs. everyone else to the point where people with late fall builds got their cars before us

Figured now that my car is asea, it would be a good idea to reach out my dealership and see if there’s any compensation from either them or Porsche. Here’s the response I got. Anyone else tried reaching out and if so what type of responses have you received?

Would you mind perhaps starting a new thread with the same post? Thinking perhaps to avoid derailing the deliveries threads we can all chime in if we ask PCNA or our dealers and what responses we get. Could be interesting / helpful to all of us with the significant delay to figure out if there’s going to be some sort of uniform compensation, or at least what some other people might be getting so we can ask for similar stuff

I'm reading everyone's schedules here and even if they aren't accurate, I'm a little peeved that we Canadians don't have TYD!

The only info I have regarding dates is the following:

April 9, deposit placed
August 28, freeze date
October 14, estimated production start
October 28, estimated production end

My SA said that his system shows that my order is fixed and schedule to enter production.

He mentioned once the date is fixed he has not seen any delays, other than from shipping.

Still, he estimated that if my car is produced by Oct 28, then I should see it "end November, early December." That's pretty optimistic given some of the shipping and batteru delays I'm reading about in this thread.

Just an update to my post above:

So October 14 and October 28 both went by with my car's production not being started.

The good news is, today I received a note from my SA telling me that my car has officially gone into production!

I may end up having a December delivery after all, which is a little pointless because I don't plan to drive this car in the Canadian Winter. Here's hoping that Spring comes soon and that you all get your deliveries when expected.

I placed my order on November 26, 2021. My vehicle completed production on July 9 and has been in storage since waiting for a 12V battery. Yesterday, October 28, my vehicle finally reached Emden and has a dealer arrival date of December 9!

Just to share your pain. I placed my order on 19th November, 2021. My vehicle was also completed on 14th July and in storage since waiting for a 12V battery. I've been told delivery in Jan Feb 2022. I'm surprised that so many people are getting cars delivered, yet some long outstanding orders are waiting for batteries.

Car arrived at Emden today, the date is off though, still says the estimated 7/15, which isn’t true. However, it shows the car at Emden.
