Isn’t it sad and a bit disappointing that this pcm update doesn’t have CarPlay directions in the dash? The last pcm update for 1.2 got that, and I believe it was established that the update was in principle 1.1 compatible, but dealers were not allowed to install. Seems they cut a special version excluding stuff…

Mine is now all done, was in the dealer for 7hrs, of which I believe the software update took 5hrs. Impressed with the bits others have already mentioned and no crashes on the way home.
30% of my ownership of this car has been without a working Nav. Now this is fixed I shall wait for the next thing to go wrong

This is typical of Porsche. They believe we will all upgrade to 1.2 to get those features.

They can actually FRO. What it does is underscore they are intent on cutting loose the old generation. Which will hurt residuals further.

Their choice. But I won't be buying a 1.2. My money is more likely to go BMW's way next.

Just had my car delivered back to me! Very impressed with the service from High Wycombe today.

had a quick play with it on the drive to check versions and new features but need to get back to work now. Will give it a proper test this weekend.

Hi, I love the Snapshot version that took 4 months to be rolled out to customers.

Still faster than the partial PCM update that took 11 months :D

They spent extra dev time (3-4 months + 6 months to decide) to develop a intermediary update 3892 - rather than release 4360 to every j1.1 car accompanied by the required ECU updated (it's a a lot more bilable service hours to do the 4360 update ).

The main concern is and has always been money, not keeping the cars up2date, not keeping the customers happy, not resolving issues promptly :D

At first, the PC charged 300€ for this upgrade. But after insisting they accept to take it on warranty....

When I drop the car 2 days ago they were not even aware of a y update. Luckily I had the technical note of Porsche explaining the software availability.

Strange.
I had j1.1 almost four years, no problems with Navigation at all 🤷‍♂️
Since last August, i have j1.2….problems with Nav started two months ago.

After I purchased my car this April and the software was renewed at that point (3882) everything was fine. Over the last two months it became gradually worse up to crashing a lot now. It seems the pcm memory overflows, it doesn’t get wiped ever.
Next week she’s getting the update, the videos I made not necessary. Actually, PC was surprised this is required by many other PC’s!
