Massive new delay

Hi, i just learned (from TYD) that my GTS is delayed from September to late December. I'm not happy about getting a 2022 model year at the end of 2022 or maybe 2023. Is anyone else having this problem? I'm seriously thinking about canceling and buying a used 4s.

A post June 2022 build should be a MY23 car.

This happened to a fair share of 2021s too (I took delivery Dec 23rd in Texas). Not excusing it, but also not surprising.

When is your car entering production? That will determine if MY22 or MY23

From what I understand, any cars that entered production in July will be a 2022, and any after will be a 2023. Jrkennedy, do you know when your 2021 was built? If you took delivery in Dec of a 2021, that probably means I'll get a 2022. A bit bittersweet, but I'd rather get a MY 2022 without the $4k price increase, since I think these types of cars depreciate more on mileage vs. model year anyways

Mine clearly says 2022 -- it was ordered in late Nov or early Dec '21.

My take is if we already have a VIN assigned, it's probably a 2022. Plugging my VIN into this decoder, it shows up as a 2022 MY.

My GTS began production July 27th, and its a 2023. It was originally scheduled to be built in August though.

Mine just finished built, and now waiting at port. Sadly it’s a MY22, and will arrive end of 22 maybe 23.

In the risk that our cars do get delivered in 2023, we need to make sure to get a signed purchase order before from our dealers to qualify for the tax credit in case the new bill passes (taycan not eligible under new bill)

Won't the new bill come into force right away?

I'm not at all comfortable taking the Year 2022 in December or possibly in 2023. I get this is mostly out of their hands, but I'm still paying full price -- feels like there needs to be some accommodation for Porsche. Thoughts?

Bill applied to vehicles sold starting in 2023. Exception for cars with purchase orders signed before the president signs the bill, even if delivered in 2023

I doubt we'll get any discount for the late 2022 build. Given the prices increases for 2023, our hands are mostly tied. They'd probably offer to give you a 2023 allocation along with the price incraase that goes with it
